I haven't had 2 NSDs in a row before but I have now. Okay all the shops are closed, but I'm still pleased. In fact, tomorrow I will swim but I have a paid for travel pass so I'm going to try for 3 NSDs in a row. That's half the week! That would be an achievement
I was hasty throwing my kettle away. Water takes ages to boil on the hob...
I treated myself to some posh tea I'd earmarked for a present and gave it to myself instead
Visiting on Saturday made me aware of how much work my house actually needsI looked back over this diary and can see I haven't had water upstairs since January, some lights have been out since about the same time. I need to prioritise water and electricity as these are basic requirements
I used to tutor part time and this weekend I filled in an application form to start again. It would only be one class a week and the money would be useful. As I work from home a few days a week I think I could manage full time work and an extra job once a week for a few hours too. It's something I enjoy doing and could develop for the future when I want more of a portfolio of different jobs that reflect my passions.
It's good having time off work. It gives me space to think
3 good things
Sage, lime and lemon essential oils in a candle diffuser. It smells divine, try it. The American's Indians swear sage is cleansing...:)
I registered with chinafind. I can't get on with Ebay so I'm looking for other ways. It seems they are looking for some of the china I have here in boxes and they collect as well as pay. If they offer me a reasonable price I will sell them
Orange Pekoe tea
I hope your Easter Sunday is going well and you are being more restrained with chocolate than I am

Hi DIA.
Great news about renegotiating those repayment, well done for ringing and sorting it out. :T
Still loving your 3 good things and the end of your posts, lovely to read they are. And they're not always big things, you celebrate the little thinks like tea, teapots and tea towels. Hmmmm I'm spotting a tea theme here :rotfl:;)
I love the sound of your thoughtfully put together birthday boxes. Your friends are very lucky :A
Good luck getting your water and electrics sorted, you can do it. Ooh and good luck with the tutoring too, very exciting times.
Enjoy your Lindt egg........if there's any left :rotfl:;):D

I'm glad you are enjoying the 3 good things. I find it's the little things that give me disproportionate pleasure...
I hope you have a good week toox

Storm Katie has changed my day.
I was going to go swimming first thing, but storm Katie is raging out there, transport is affected, debris is blowing about etc. She is due to burn out before the end of the day so I'm going to get a swim in later...
I must be changing as I would usually be keen to hunt for reduced price Easter Eggs today but I don't need the chocolate and I'm quite keen to see if I can do 3 NSDs in a row.
A healthy fruit, seeds and yogurt breakfast.
Back to bed with my laptop and I'm going to do some writing. Looking back at my diary getting my creativity back was a key part of the plan so today is the day to engage with that side of me again...
It's harder to find 3 good things about a day that has barely begun, but...
Kiwi is a sharp, hairy monster and can be acidic but leave them long enough and they are a juicy little carrier of vitamin C and lovely with yogurt
Rain is lashing down. Good job I got my gutters fixed then isn't it?
Storm Katie came on a bank holiday, she could have come tomorrow and I would be caught up in the storm with travel chaos getting cold and wet on my way to work, but I'm not am i?
Have a lovely B/H Monday reader

Hi DIA
Congrats on 3 NSDs in a row - it's lovely that you recognise it too, part of the journey is in seeing yourself change.
Totally agree about the little things... one of the things I adore about weekends and bank hols is just the extra time to lie in and listen to purring moggies (they like days that have both the heater on and a person still in the bed!)

There's a diary I like to read and this lady has paid an absolute fortune off with the help of tutoring. I think she's currently working full time as a teacher as well as having 2 children and a husband. I believe this is her third diary (her first is pre the children), which I thought may be an interesting read for you too? I believe she did more tutoring in her 2nd diary.

Just in case it helps inspire you in any way.
Hob boiled water tastes a little different too, doesn't it? You actually made me realise that I have a very cheap kettle! I don't drink much coffee or tea at home so bought a supermarket value version (possibly around £5 or less)! It leaks everywhere when I pour it, so is a huge burn hazard so I still think you did the right thing by not keeping your cheap one! I'd really like an old fashioned whistle hob kettle, but they're too expensive for me to justify at the moment.

Thanks RosaAlthough I might not be quite changed enough as today I bought a half price chocolate Lindt bunny, but it was only £1.25
I guess change is not linear...
I hope your week is going well

You are right about hob boiled water tasting different from kettle water. What's that about?
I'm planning to do swagbucks. I get that it will take forever but the kettle I have my eye on a kettle called Sori Yonagi it is my absolute favourite but I can't justify it so my plan is to part fund it via swagbucks...
Actually, writing this has reminded me I have an old stainless steel coffee percolator that I can use as a hob kettle until I get a new kettle
I have book marked the diary of the tutor. Thank you :A
I'm realising in order to get where I want to go quicker I need to increase my income, so tutoring might be the answer, or one of the answers
I hope your week is going well

Today has been tough.
I've been up since 5.00am. The first train was cancelled today so lots of waiting around. I had the start of another migraine before I started at work. Work was so busy I did not eat either my packed breakfast or lunch and brought them both home uneaten
In the end I left work at 3.30pm. I had to return DVDs to the library today or face fines. I picked up a small shop and some reduced flowers. It was a tired, after work, no meal prepared and ready to eat panic shop that cost £15 so now, although I got lots of organic salad and veggies at half price, I'm a little disappointed in myself
Tomorrow I'm going to have a NSD.
Today I had a chance to look at my payslips. I can see I have made an error as February's salary included some back pay. My actual salary is £120 LESS than I thought. Not only has that triggered panic about my current month's arrangements but my new debt repayment plan is based on me having a higher level of income than I actually do
I will need to go back to the drawing board
I considered being downhearted about this new situation but decided against it...
I am on the edge of wondering if I can live like this for 2 years?
3 good things
I got my DVDs back to the library on time, so no fines and checked with the librarian. I can post them back when the library is closed. This suits me better. Rushing to get to the library straight from work is unnecessary stress.
Some beautiful stock for half price. They are purple and smell delicious
I used a bar of 4711 cologne soap today. My nan used to use it. She's gone now, but all I had to do was wash my hands in it and there she was, right by my side
