Should increase London property prices.
Lower inflation, low interest rates, cheaper fuel, more tourists, cheaper imports, more money chasing safe havens more than ever.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
I tend to think of the crude oil price as litres, and there are ~159 litres in a barrel. Even $30 a barrel equates to about 13p a litre. With widescaIe fracking I think that's sustainable medium term*, but sooner or later oil companies will have to start tapping more expensive deposits to maintain capacity (for comparison the North Sea would strike me as upper mid range on the cost scale - offshore isn't cheap but the infrastructure is good and conditions not too extreme).
* of course Saudi Arabia's policy of trying to undercut the cold war powers whilst annoying Iran could completely change that.0 -

Bizarrely I was looking at properties in wood green today. No influence from here, impartially looking for affordable property with good transport links and found myself clicking round wood green on right move.

I heard Peter the taxi bloke from up the road just invested in a new taxi. Should see house prices rise.
capital cities are drawing in more of the national wealth of their nations (and the globe) as a second wave of urbanisation kicks in. That trend will probably overpower most other things
I think if government and planning policy permitted it London could grow to 20 million people over the next 40 years.0 -
