Misleading TalkTalk SimplyBroadband availability checker

The uSwitch SimplyBroadband link at phones/cheap-broadband#talktalk redirects to a TalkTalk form to check availability. This returns not available in my area.
However, a checker from TalkTalk home page says it is available.
TalkTalk sales have just told me that this is caused by a known fault on their web site which they hope to fix within 24 hours.
This is exceptionally misleading so perhaps MSE staff could put a warning on the MSE web site.

If they were the only ISP out there, I would rather throw my computer away!0

If an unsuspecting user opts for the next cheapest in the meantime it will cost them £50 more.0

Worth every penny, I'd say!0 -

I have used 4 different ISPs during the past 5 years. My 2 years with TalkTalk were not significantly better or worse than EE or Sky. They each had different problems.
My issues may be different to others. I am a retired Engineer with several years IT experience. I always use my own router on which I use software I have developed. This turned out to be more of a problem with Sky than any others. Those interested can Google 'Sky' and my full name to see the problem and solution.0 -
Hiya Neville,
Has this been resolved for you now?
Thanks

@Emma - I am afraid not - I tried the uSwitch link again earlier this afternoon0

I confirm with Neville, it's still not working

Just spoke to a helpful lady at TT & she ran some checks on our postcode & landline number & said that they could only do the offer if we were to have a new number. So the package is available if you call them up, but you may not want the hassle of a new landline number.
Hope this helps, cheers Madcow0
