which exceptions do you have in mind?

You said 'white christian', not 'predominately white and nominally christian'.

Well, how about France? It's not a 'christian country', it's by law a secular country. If you mean the beliefs of members of the population, there are no official statistics but polls suggest substantially less than 50% of the population have any religious belief (e.g. this article). It's also a multi-ethnic country. Yes, 'white' people are the majority but to call it a 'white country' is not an appropriate label.

anyway what exactly is the point of substance ? that you approve of discriminating against the people of black countries even if they are nominally christian?

The point of substance is that labels like 'white country', 'black country' are not appropriate to describe a whole country or countries. You are helping the case the people who voted Brexit are ignorant about the world.

You can't post that without considering the extra costs of a lower pound!
Like ........ um ................. er ................... well, like the raw materials needed to "make" a pig that will now cost so much more to import. :D

This thread is quite fast moving so it's easy for posts to get buried.
I've answered your point in detail already in post 7529:

Basically, I think this new realistic £ is great and we can stand the extra input costs. Cheap foreign holidays aren't one.

Britain can get a pay rise - higher £ - once our overall productivity starts to match our leading rivals.

Keep the HPI increasing at ZIRP post brexit, this is making our economy stronger. I cannot wait for the NIRP!

I'm glad you've stuck your head out and supported a low GBP. I wonder, did you do this before GBP fell from the outcome or are your views shaped by whatever happens from the brexit vote must de facto be a good thing?

Will you be upset if GBP rises in value again?

Only you view the world in this way where a union of countries are de facto racist towards those outside such a union. Whereas, you think preferring to treat all outsiders with equal contempt somehow gives you a moral edge - it doesn't.

Black countries? Where do you live? The seventies?

I'm surprised you use the word contempt in connection with how the you see the EU treating the other 160 odd countries of the world.
Its not a word I would use in that context.

However, we were given a choice between continuing to discriminate in favour of 27 predominately white, christian countries and discriminating against all others
or treating all the countries on an equal footing.

You made you choice quite clear even though you know the harm and damage the EU policies have inflicted on the poor black aftrican countries over the last 40 years and more.

It's not a word I used in that context either. I used it to describe your attitude to foreigners whether they be white christian, black or whatever other labels you like to describe not like you.

Have you ever tried saying this sentence out loud? In company?

Here's me thinking much of the BREXIT vote was down to racism and xenophobia but in fact it's because Brexiteers have the best wishes of African farmers at heart.

I think it reasonable for the UK to distinguish the legal status of the citizens of the UK from the rest of the world. This is in common with EVERY other country in the world, each distinguishes the legal status of their own citizens from all else : it is also the custom of the EU to distinguish EU citizens from the rest of the world.

I find it diffucult to understand why you call the differentiation of the UK citizens from the rest of the world as 'contempt' but not that of every other country in the world nor do you call the differentiation of the EU citizens from all outside as 'contempt' either.

Here's me thinking much of the BREXIT vote was down to racism and xenophobia but in fact it's because Brexiteers have the best wishes of African farmers at heart.

You were incorrect in believing that brexit was down to xenophobia and racism any more or less than policies of every other country in the world and any more of less that those of the EU.
You could perhaps explain how the EU immigration policy towards the rest of the world differs from that proposed by the UK to all the world.

Clearly the majority of brexiters were probably not primarily concerned with the harm the EU has down to the peoples of Africa: however, I see no reason for you to mock, sneer and belittle the harm that has been done and not to show the slightest regret or remorse.
