Michel Barnier takes up his position on October 1stThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Just to update that I've been looking for a new property since before brexit and in the weeks after and in commuter land within 45 mins of London there's been no change to the properties in my price bracket (the low end of the market) other than there's less coming onto the market.
How low is low end? What sort of price? I'm seeing complete stagnation where I live above a certain amount."The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -
How many over. Leveraged debt junkies are there no where near as many as you lot think. Lending criteria was tightened after credit crunch.
Wimpy say that there has been no change in the amount of property it has been selling since the referendum apart from a small fall in central London.
Hmm, do you think they might have a vested interest?"The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -
"Should the British Government prioritise maintaining access to the single market or restricting the freedom of movement when negotiating the UK’s withdrawal from the EU?"

Twice as many said the former, which is encouraging.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

The EU will want too much in exchange for single market access. I reckon Fox let the cat out of the bag with his comments yesterday.
WTO with the EU and free trade deals with rest of the world is the most likely scenario. If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

The public don't seem to think that retaining free movement of people is too much.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Looking into this a little further and Barrier is only in charge of extricating the UK from the EU. The task of negotiating the UK's post Brexit relationship with the EU has already been appointed by the EU council.

Technically that is exactly what they voted for (if that is where we end up). The referendum was a yes/no question about whether or not to remain in the EU and nothing more. The problem is that many Leave voters attached more meaning to it, such as "less immigration", even though there was no manifesto to reduce immigration for a Leave vote...To err is human, but it is against company policy.0 -

Facts. People don't like facts.
Apparently some leavers didn't like facts, and now some remainers don't like facts. Scottish nationalists don't like facts either.
Is there anyone left in this country who likes facts?0
