Interesting article on Brexit impact on finance (euro clearing), and impending "row" between EU and Chancellor Hammond:

Interesting. Next up, UK decides to enforce a rule that all cars of a brand with a capital 'W' in their name must be made in Britain in order to be purchased & driven here.

I work in an estate agents as a weekend negotiator and it has gone very quiet. Could be a temporary blip who knows? It always goes quiet around Christmas and it feels like it's come early - very early!

Excellent! That means my £ will be worth 4% more per brick.

So possibly lower house prices might not be such excellent news to the extra 700,000 people who find themselves out of work over the next few years! Perhaps the price of the house they were hoping to buy might be the least of their problems, what do you think?

Nothing to stop the UK following the US and seeking compensation for owners.

Yes. Far from being the harmonious integration of 28 countries all working together for the common good, in reality it's each country looking after its own interests even when it's to the detriment of others.

Was it ever? Never noticed any appreciable change in attitude over the years.

EU immigration might fall as a consequence.

I'm not sure that will be much comfort to the extra 700,000 people who find themselves out of work over the next few years, do you?
