Cool. Where are you going to buy your cars from?

I think the idea is that the Sunderland Nissan plant will be nationalised and its production line converted to produce Austin Allegros because everything was better in the 70s.

    Ah Brexit, so ironic.
Osborne threatened a Bexit austerity budget as part of Project Fear, that alone riled 1 or 2 percent of voters to be contrary.

Now that we got Brexit, there should be an emergency stimulus budget. But nothing in sight. Business as usual everywhere except the real world.

If I were a buyer I'd be holding fire till the next budget. Stamp duty cut or holiday anyone?
And awaiting the stats to be in so Carney can consider a rate cut.
    Waiting...

It's summer and the start of summer holidays for schools. Always goes quiet at this time of year.

Yes Elsie Monkey - I've worked here for 20 years and it's never been this quiet at this time of the year. Usually tails off towards the middle of August. But the last few weeks, hardly any buyers or sellers. I think a lot of people are just waiting to see what happens.

At present Ford, Holden (GM) and Toyota manufacture cars in Aus. All their factories are slated to be closed.

I have no idea what that has to do with the matter at hand.

If you are in a country that imports much of its food and oil do you think that the exporter or the importer is more important in the relationship?

Great, we're sorted for vegimite then. If we can afford the postage and packaging.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

We're drifting a bit... vivatifosi posted an article about the EU trying some good old fashioned protectionism, to cut London off from a large slice of financial services. The point of my quip was, post Brexit we can selectively do the same, quid pro quo with say, the car market.
