had remain won you would be telling the racist brexiteers to keep quiet and suck it up.

You had it too easy for too long.
Welcome to the new improved United Kingdom my friend.

So the referendum was a huge mistake. Why? because the average man on the street has chosen our destiny rather than the toffs?

Have you not noticed that the country has been split for years now.
Trouble is whenever you try to say something your labelled racist.

I don't live in the UK so I only have to deal with the fallout when I pop back for visits and on Facebook.

The most stupid thing is that the people that rely on taxpayers for their income are going to be the most screwed and they are the ones that voted for this.

You really have made a monumental mistake my friend. You'll come to realise it in time but then it'll be far too late to do anything about it.:T

Anyone wondering whether we might try and get together with Switzerland, Norway, and the others to try and pull off a trade deal with the EU?

There will be a second referendum- we are still in the EU. Boris never wanted to actually leave - he just wanted the strongest negotiating position he could get for Britain.

Whose the 'we'? I have more in common with the French and Germans than geriatric or racist brexiteers.

I see Benn has been sacked for fermenting rebellion. We need a new alliance of the centre left between Labour, Lib Dems, SNP, Plaid Cymru. There is likely to be an election within months? Joint manifesto pledge between these parties to reverse Brexit?

Everything to play for - right up until Article 50 is invoked. Get all your like minded mates to sign the petition- Boris will be looking for lots of excuses for his second referendum.

Nothing has changed - don't you see that? The referendum was never legally binding and can be ignored. I'm afraid you're just being given months to let this sink in.

Generali, Article 50 has not been invoked so we haven't yet exited the EU. Boris always wanted a second referendum. There is still everything to play for.

This is what always happens with EU referendums - don't get the result you want - rerun it.

You are the disgrace. You don't speak for the majority. You won't win because you are a minority.

we had a democratic election with simple and plain rules
    brexit had a clear win.

there is no problem trying to change things by democratic means but you lying about the legitimacy is simply a fascist disregard for democracy

our vote to stay in 1975 had simple rules too with the 'losers' accepted
there was no vote to join

We had a referendum which was deliberately written so that it wasn't legally binding and could be ignored.

    There will be another referendum.

Farage says "This isn't the best out of 3". That is true - it's the best out of two.

You can't argue that I'm not right??

Everything still to play for my friend.

I'm not sure about this at all, it just doesn't seem to right to ignore the referendum result. Although I believe that Ireland did it twice and Denmark once, I don't know if there was anything different in those particular circumstances? Does anyone know this?

The petition is based upon this:

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

But this is introducing something after the event, it looks underhand to me, would it not be better for the EU to offer further concessions, so the actual circumstances and conditions of EU membership would have changed, that to me would seem a more valid reason to have a second referendum.
