It's people like Yolina, who has been paying taxes here for God knows how many years that have kept you and your fellow public sector leeches in cushy overpaid non-jobs with a gold plated pension to boot. You might as well show some respect.
Ha ha!
I don't think we`ll divert this hilarious thread to the that particular subject mayo.
I`m making the wild assumption that Yolina`s residency here isn't a complete act of benevolence toward the UK on her part.
I`m more than happy for Yolina to stay, it`s her that threatening to up-sticks in an apparent fit of pique.
Whisper it quietly but I think she`ll stay.

I am watching all these interviews with Leave voters and its all scruffy looking retirees sitting on park benches going:
"Aah eeh by gum its reet good that we're out of that Europe. Its oar England eeeh."
I can't believe these people have done this. They have no clue what they have voted for.0 -
Ok. This thread started with a question. For those of you who voted leave, could you please explain now finally what the plan is?
What personally did you vote for, in the practical sense, when you voted leave?
- End of free movement with EU?
- End of free trade agreement with EU?
- Reduced immigration from the whole world?
- No agreement at all with the EU? As in, we will not look like Norway or Switzerland deals at all?
- Join the EEC in similar capacity to Norway or Switzerland?
- Increased immigration from rest of the world, decrease from EU?
I think us remain supporters get it, democracy, yes. You've "taken back control". But now as your patriarch likes to put it, in practical terms, what does that mean? Could you say how the UK would ideally look to you in a few years time.0 -

I don't care who's un/happy for me to stay or not and I certainly don't need anyone's permission to do either
Some of my (British) friends are asking if I can give them a note vouching for them for when they go on holiday in France next month :rotfl: Joking aside, a number of them are also considering leaving the UK...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -

In a bit of a state I sent off some feelers this morning for roles in Asia. Panic? Perhaps, but my emotions were running high.
My technical skills are fairly niche (I could broaden if I wanted) and the firms I earn money from are now at risk. I'd like to see what the options are to work in tech finance in Asia at this point. Best case scenario for me (pure personal level) is that the UK signs up to a Norway or Swiss type deal with the EU where we still have free movement and finance and tech continues along an upward trajectory in London. Actually, maybe best case scenario is fintech moves to the French Riveria and I get to spend out the rest of my working life in sunshine
Pipe dreams.
But frankly, I've always been interested in working in Asia and if things get difficult here perhaps it is time to take the chance. Let's see how it turns out, the UK may yet not shoot itself in the foot.0 -

I think the Remain Team charm offensive towards these people had one or two flaws personally.
A few of the things you get just on these here forums
- the indigenous Brit is lazy and won't show up for work
- they believe many jobs are below them
- they deserve what they get because they won't get up tomorrow and move 300 miles from Sunderland to London for work
- they live in "Northern Hell Holes"
- they expect their own room, unlike their EE counterpart who is willing to live 8 to a shed
- they are victims of 'globalization' dontcha know.
Ahh, Toastie. You should have told them to watch Rahim Sterling for voting advice.

You are right but they've taken advantage of an opportunity to stick the boot in to the establishment and Corbyn clearly did not reach them . He has to resign!0 -

We are going to end up like those Wildings in Game of Thrones. A Wasteland of the Free people  The problem is we were already a free sovereign nation.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
