The EU immigrants are no threat to us or our economy. We're not full up, and we need more people to produce goods and services and contribute to our economy. We need a very good grip on people with recent criminal records coming here and we need to co-ordinate our police intelligence with their EU counterparts.

I was leaning towards leave but then I remembered the bunch of chinless oxygen thieves we've got supposedly running this country. Over half of us didn't vote for them and what with the House of Lords well over half of them weren't even democratically appointed at all.

If we think about it too much the EU starts to look a lot more democratic.
Zag, if you didn't already own your house would you be able to aspire to buying one of a similar size? Would you be certain your kids could get into your local school? if you needed to commute into London would you expect to get a seat or even a space on the train of your choice?
    I think....

.....but if there is a growing scarcity over accommodation why should immigration be blamed? It is the responsibility of parents to provide for their offspring. If they cant do that and use the excuse of immigrant competition as an excuse they are abrogating their own responsibilities in my view and are scapegoating immigrants. I have neighbours whose children still live at home in their late twenties. These young adults are voting Brexit because they cant get their own place in London and yet they go out every night, spend money on holidays and have cars and the latest smart phones. I suggested they might start saving for a deposit and renting/ buying in a cheaper area. I may as well as told them to fly to Mars! By the way the same neighbours have a cleaner from East Europe who visits twice a week while they all sit outside in their garden waiting for her to finish.

Next thing you'll be telling us is that the cleaner has managed to buy a 5 bedroom Townhouse in Chelsea, whilst your neighbors children have been living the high life with their parents!:rotfl:

    I am pro-immigration.
However I don't minimise the impact on people's lives of not being able to get a GPs appointment when they need it (sometimes 2 weeks time is not good enough).
There is not enough room on our central tubes and trains, people are crammed on like cattle sp they can't access toilets and fainting is a regular occurrence for those who stand long distances.

We could of course improve the infrastructure to suit our population numbersinstead of blaming the immigrants.

What does the remain campaign stand for?

I'd like to know what they think the benefits of remaining are, but if you strip away the scaremongering and name-calling, they've actually said nothing.

why not be honest and just add ' and I am willing to pay more tax to fund the necessary infrastructure .. lets say 5 p in the pound and see how it goes'.

And the public need to recognise that without immigration the economy is screwed, and then there is no money to pay for all the things they've been promised.

EU immigrants are net contributors, they subsidise the native born, they don't steal jobs, and they drive up wages for the majority of people. Without them our national debt (and taxes) will rise, our economy will wither, and our services, pensions, healthcare, and benefits will rapidly become unaffordable.

If you think the public are "concerned" now about the minor inconveniences they suffer because of moderate levels of EU immigration then "you ain't seen nothing yet".... As their reaction to the inevitable and severe economic consequences of cutting EU immigration would be far, far worse.

Try cutting their pensions, slashing their benefits, reducing their services, defunding the NHS, raising their taxes, plunging them into a prolonged economic depression with no realistic hope of recovery for a decade or more, and then watch what real "concern" looks like.

Actually, never mind, maybe that's exactly what this country needs to learn a lesson.

Let the uneducated, the narrow minded, and the little Englanders vote for their own demise.

    I completely agree with you.

I agree - another advantage of a leave win is that we might see a new politics where we look for positives not just warn about negatives.
