I do not live in the UK but from a distance it appears that lack of infrastructure building (roads, railways, underground etc, etc) has exacerbated the feeling of being a crowded Island. Whatever the vote in or out the population will not dramatically drop. However will this lack of infrastructure be addressed after the referendum.
Perhaps I am wrong about the infrastructure perhaps all is fine but I see the UK behind the other big country's in Europe like France and Germany in building these things.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

The Uk infrastructure, housing etc is being improved all the time.
However, this costs a lot of money and the current government's priority is not about massive tax rises to fund this.

In any event, if 'leave' win and this results in lower population growth then the impact on housing and infrastructure will be less than would otherwise the case.

    seems a good thing

with a smaller population growth we will need fewer new office blocks although we still need more housing to make up the huge back log.

Population growth of 0.5% a year should be perfectly manageable. It's 40% below that of the USA and 20% below that of France.

we have a population growth of about 1%

I don't see the purpose of life to have population that is 'manageable' but rather what is in the best interest of the people of the UK.

Both the USA and France have lower density of population than the UK.

Much like when Osborne crushed the Scottish Natinalists Pollyanna predictions of a currency union, Obama has decisively torpedoed the Leavers predictions of a trade deal, and made Bojo look like even more of a plank than usual.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/barack-obama-says-britain-would-go-to-back-of-the-queue-for-us-trade-deals-if-it-leaves-europe-a6997201.html
“My understanding is that some of the folks on the other side have been ascribing to the United States certain actions we’ll take if the UK does leave the EU,” he said. “They say for example, we’ll just cut our own trade deals with the United States. They’re voicing opinion about what the United States are going to do. I figured you might want to hear it from the President of the United States.

It's interesting how closely this is following the Indyscot script. The Out lot become defined by petty xenophobia and a shaky economic justification that they clearly have not sounded out or particularly even seem to understand. One which collapses like a pile of artlessly arranged toy wooden blocks again and again.

And the Remain people become finger wagging Cassandras.

Neither the in or out merits are being discussed, or given breathing room, nor is the fact that there will be a colossal democratic deficit wherever you put your X.

This is the illusion of choice. Do you want Coke or Pepsi? The people who run the world will find you marginally less troublesome if you stick with Coke.

So that's what you'll choose to do.

What have you got against office blocks? I now understand your negative comment when I described what London might look like in the future. You just hate tall buildings. Do you even live anywhere near London? Do you know that London is 0.6% of the UK landmass and the productivity hub? If we want to continue to follow world trend and grow our economy then we have to accept that city sizes are increasing and we need to provide places for people to live in the cities. It isn't just foreigners moving to London you know. So we have to build upward.

    Do you have batophobia?

just find one single post of mine that says I'm against/hate tall building.

do try to understand the difference between
    GDP
    per capita GDP
quality of life of real people.

why do you want to follow 'world trends' rather than do whats best of the people of the UK?

People don't seem to care much about what you think regarding overcrowding, they're moving to London regardless. It would be better rather than to try stop this and cut off our growth powerhouse, we accepted that people like to live there and catered for it by building upward.

So could you explain why you were so negative with regard how I thought London might progress in the future?

Could you tell me if you live in or near London?

You are correct that immigrants don't mind moving to London and many native born young people also.
Many move because of the job opportunities that are lacking in the other EU countries because of the incompetent EU economic management : I believe you want these people to have more and more control of our economy too.
Young people are very resilient and compared to unemployment and no hope, London is a huge attraction.

However, that makes the native born people of the UK worse off in terms of living standards job opportunities etc.
And people do care about about overcrowding : its just that YOU don't care about other people's quality of life.
You NEVER mention quality of life and are only interested in your god GDP.

Also I NEVER judge the quality peoples arguments on their race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality or where they live : I would expect no less from you.

Demand for office space in London remained robust through the traditionally quiet first quarter, according to CBRE, the world’s leading global real estate advisor. 3.1 million sq ft of the capital’s offices was snapped up by companies, despite fears that economic headwinds and the possibility of Brexit could dampen demand.
The 3.1 million sq ft is only marginally below the 10 year average of 3.2 million, with a major move by Thomson Reuters, to take 315,400 sq ft at 5 Canada Square in the Docklands, lifting overall take-up for the quarter. The amount of office space currently under offer remains unchanged from the previous quarter at 3 million sq ft, having been above the 10-year average of 2.8 million sq ft since the beginning of 2014.

    How curious.
