So the Nissan Board are considering the Billion dollar bribe offered by Mrs May. The only cloud on the Horizon is that they don't think Mrs May can deliver the Bribe,There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Let us all remember,

Some brass plates to get moved from London to Frankfurt, the Leeds of Germany. Good luck with that. The talent of course will be staying in London.
That talent British, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Belgium, Spanish, plus many many other citizens of EU country's now worry where their next career move will be.
BUGLAWTON, it is clear you have no idea how insecure you CAN BE MADE to feel when you are working away from home. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
The best US maths and science talent used to be tied up on the US East Coast fighting an arms race for the investment banking industry. Honing faster share trading techniques and algorithms, and inventing esoteric hedge and derivatives instruments for example. That was till the '08 crash. Since the crash the number of such brains occupied in the finance business was decimated and West Coast IT, energy and biotech sectors are no longer starved for talent. A multitude of new tech start-ups in the US too. A big win for US society and eventually its economy.
So here's hoping half tha parasitic UK banking sector does go to European mainland then maybe the UK can look forward to a similar economic miracle like the the US is getting.
Just like day follows night. As you say "here's hoping"There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Because brass plating is the modus operandi of all international companies who need to place legal financial transactions in a given jurisdiction where passporting doesn't exist.
Oh good lord, that was just the best killer argument. I am now at you mercy.
No BUGLAWTON I did not type that but I wanted too. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Notice how gradually more and more Remainers are changing thier narrative from one of denial to acceptance.
Many examples, such as today Hilary Benn three times saying "we are leaving", and with resigned acceptance simply stating MPs need input, BUT HE DID NOT SAY A VOTE.
Input simply means for example Remainers on Select Comittees which is fine by me
Very good point. Please, please leave as soon as possible. Reduce uncertainty so we all know what to do.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
My understanding, and I admit that I don't know for certain, is that a brass plate would give rights in that country rather than the entire EU.
You obviously not heard of "Compliance Managers" who work for financial institutions. They follow the law, EU law.
Look it up.

You obviously have no idea how complex regulation is in the EU. Yes London has long wanted to go "rogue" with loose regulations like "unnamed country" and "unnamed country" but many of us thought Britain was a civilised FINANCIAL country. That was before Brexit. We now watch and wait. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

That would clearly depend on where each door is.0
