Norway doesn't want to upset the EU.

Little Britain will kowtow soon enough.

Love that Corbyn went to a grammar, his acolytes send their offspring to private schools and they preach about the state system.

    Jog on Labour, jog on.

As time goes by and news keeps creeping out about Labour under Corbyn the more of a joke it becomes, its entertaining for those of us who don't support them, also worrying as there won't be a serious opposition but there's nothing we can do about that when RT and friends put them in power.

I think the point is that you can have a privileged upbringing without necessarily wanting to continue to disadvantage other people with inequality.

Something that appears to be rather lost on the Tories.

And that makes you happy? Why?

You are happy that Hollande said this “There must be a threat, there must be a risk, there must be a price, " .

    That doesn't disturb you?

She's a hypocrite. Worse she's a pious hypocrite. Private schools are all about gaining advantage for your kids over other kids. It is about the least socialist thing you can do. It's the ultimate test of whether you are a real socialist or not and she failed.

You do realize she has applied to Eton for her son too? That great bastion of socialism.

By the way - Corbyn's spin doctor, Seumas Milne, was educated at Winchester College........

    Worse than the Blairites.

How the mighty have fallen, and will continue to fall, into obscurity and failure.

Round of applause for RT and Momentum :T

Fair play to Blair - his kids were educated in the state sector.

Possibly all those graduates who keep increasing YoY will be delighted to just do that for the joy of sovereignty.

Or maybe they will just be overjoyed not to have to compete with the unemployed youth of France, Spain and Italy to get a decent job, or a house here in the SE?

And maybe the French, Spanish and Italian's will do something about youth unemployment in their countries instead of just ignoring it?

    Just a thought.

Lol, I just asked the owner of the Offy next(ish) to my office this very question.

He explained that there are French vineyards that are entirely geared to the British market. Trying to re-calibrate to say the 'growing' ex communist states would mean a massive hit, as wine is sold there at a fraction of the UK retail price.

He made a point I hadn't considered; He says a tariff only applies to the factory gate price and thus imported inflation he thinks wont be all that much. Not sure if this is correct.

yes the tariffs and pound/dollar/euro inflation applies to the import price not the retail price at tesco.

some things like base foods dont have a huge retail uplift so you will see strong inflation there eg sugar flour oil. Whereas other things like cakes crisps processed foods are mostly retail/manufacturing costs and the food element is almost trivial

another factor is inflation tends to feed inflation so you will have some businesses who were keeping prices low who decide now is the time for a hike since everything else is going up.
