Did I not say? She's back! Came home a couple of weeks ago...I think she was worried about finances (wonder where she gets that from?) and is back working. DD also off to uni in October. Not too worried about it now she's had her time away. Bless her, she even felt bad because we offered to help as she won't get a full loan. I hope the boys are so appreciative!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

So holiday is only 7 weeks away and I've started to stock up on so cream and bits. Don't need much in the way of clothing myself, but boys are having a growing spurt so will need to look for them.
OP of £35 today made by selling some stuff on Facebook. I'm particularly pleased about this as it's like the Tilly Tidies I do: money I wouldn't have overpaid with otherwise. I'm starting to find my account looks untidy unless it!s been rounded down
The new mortgage starts on 1st July so I've a new rate to look forward to and I've an aim to have the remortgage figure at £500 less than I had thought it would be (£132,500). Had better seek out some more things to sell on Facebook then!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Well, we're nearly 5 weeks away from the holiday (4 weeks to new mortgage) and I've just paid out £100 for visas. Clothes for the boys being sorted. It's DD's birthday on Day 2 of the holiday so I'm purchasing some small gifts for her to open and I guess the rest will be cash. Any ideas for small gifts for 19yo that can travel to a hot climate welcomed! DS2's birthday is 2 days after we get back so looking to ensure his gifts are purchased and wrapped before we go (almost done on that front).
It's very spendy at the moment, but I am managing a fair amount of OPs and very busy at work in the run up to the holiday so hope that curtails some of the spending! Most bills are on their way out of the account tomorrow and Wednesday so hope to be back on the Tilly Tidies MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

My sleep is better thanks, although I do find work thoughts wake me up early:mad::mad::mad:. Couple of strange dreams too...pretty stressy at work so probably that. Cough is still lurking but not keeping me awake.MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Thanks! Looking forward to the new rate as just paying my current mortgage repayment amount is going to be over £300 OP on the new rate. Aiming for a whopping £800 each month so I can end the mortgage in 8 years. I just want it gone now the bullet has been bitten!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Hoping for a big OP this month: some shares sold so will put a chunk towards the mortgage to start the new rate with as low a loan as possible! Just waiting for the cash to come through and then looking forward too seeing the back of the old rate at the end of the month. :j:j:j
Only 2 weeks until holiday. It's manic at work but things are coming together and I'm happy I can go away and things will be in hand, which is a relief. Really need to start thinking about packing now...MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000
