Sounds like you have got yourself a good deal well done! If you go onto the mortgage tool on this website you can play around with OP and see how much difference it makes! Can be addictive though!

So, the mortgage offer arrived so just need to check that and give them a ring too.
This week has flown by at work, but it's been exhausting and I'm looking forward to a rest! I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow so that will be a good chance to relax and chat.
I'm also starting to get a little sad that DD is off traveling for 4 months in less than 2 weeks: I'll miss her but I so want her to have the experience. She went for 3 months back in August but I was able to visit (Rome). This is Asia so no trips to see her but hopefully she'll keep her blog up to dateMFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

. Does anyone know a mortgage calculator that allows me to work out projected repayments that lets me put in years and months?
I use
http://www.whatsthecost.com/mortgage.aspx
set to interest only and set a payment it tells you how long it takes to pay it off.
(to check your payment for the Xy 11m do it as repayment for X+1 years then switch to I/O and make the payment a bit bigger till the month drops off
Term is just used to set the payment
what really matters is the payment.
if you have £139k over 16y @ 2.39% thats £872pm.
to do it in 15y 11m £876...
as a very rough guide to knock a month off you divide the payment by the number of month left and that is the overpayment required(actually a bit over).
To see how much you owe over time use the details button.0 -
Thanks getmore4less. I've also found this overpayment calculator which seems to do the trick:

Weekend has been pretty good. My mum has come over from Spain so it's been lovely catching up with her
I'm taking th egos over to see her and my dad in half-term, so will get to see a lot of her in the next month, which is a lovely change.
Went to the gym for a class this morning: nearly died as the air con was left on yoga setting so we all sweated tones more than usual until we realised. Still, good for some weight loss, I guess :rotfl:
Nearly managed not to go to the supermarket today, until youngest told me he had food tech Tuesday. Still, we confirmed the mortgage this weekend so that's one money saving positive. With mum here, we'll go out for dinner tomorrow....going to print off some Toby vouchersMFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Another busy week. Missed the gym tonight as I had a bad headache, but have managed to work out we've cleared £1134 off of the mortgage since last month....so over £1000 off is the new norm
It will be interesting to see what happens when we get onto the new rate and whether we can hit the 109 month target :j

Well, January's OPs total £537.68 so I am very pleased with that.
We splashed out on a meal out today as a final family meal for us all before DD heads off on her travels and I got her some Thai Bhat so she has some cash when she arrives so it's been a bit spendy over the weekend. I'm trying not to worry about DD being away for 4 months but can't seem to help myself!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

So today DD headed off on her travels for 4 months and -to be honest - I'm struggling. There's tonnes of stuff going through my mind so I've decided that I'm going to blog about it. If anyone is interested it's @motherofyoungadventurer on Wordpress.
In mortgage news, I am getting Tilly Tidy obsessed! £1.95 today and £6.93 yesterday. This will slow down as next pay day is 11 days away! If it weren't for the fact I had to drop my first-born at the airport and wanted to see her off, I'd be ranting wildly at the £14 I was charged for a little over an hour's parking :mad:MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Some TTs this month and main OP goes out Monday. DD is getting on well in Thailand and seems to be with a great group of people so I'm relieved!
On Monday I'm taking the boys to Spain for half-term to see my parents so really excited :j:j:j Not seen my dad since last Summer
So tomorrow is packing, gym, watching rugby and an early night before an 0630 flightMFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000
