  • They are in a mess :

    - Not sending cancellation emails to everyone.

    - The cancellation email is giving contradictory advice and does not make sense.

It is a bit like never-ending story.

I cannot see this company lasting very long after this fiasco.
  • i have made cancellation request on my amazon account but they are going to them as emails but not cancelling on the account !! what a bloody nightmare
  • I note that many of the SkinPep products involved are now ranked
#1 Bestseller in ..... (whatever department)
I bet they are not complaining about the extra traffic and orders they are now receiving as they have been boosted up the Amazon sales ranks and now come first in searches and featured on the bestsellers pages on Amazon!

"Daily deals and significant discounts could land you at #1 for your product category. This also opens up the possibility of appearing on the Amazon home page under the “Hot Deals” and “New & Noteworthy” categories, which will generate enormous amounts of traffic. This also grants exposure to your related products which can also be seen on the page. Thus allowing customers to see your other offerings at a glance and perhaps entice them to purchase one of your full priced items."

Perhaps they just did not realize the volume of orders they would generate, or forgot to limit the stock? Whatever happened, they have handled it appallingly.
  • This is why they are asking the CUSTOMER to cancel:

What is the pre-fulfillment cancel rate?

The pre-fulfillment cancel rate is the number of orders cancelled by a seller prior to ship-confirmation, divided by the number of orders in the time period of interest.

    Pre-fulfillment Cancel Rate = (CancelledOrders)/(TotalOrders)

When computing this metric, we consider all order cancellations initiated by the seller, with exception of those that are requested by the buyer using the order-cancellation options in their Amazon account. Pending orders that are cancelled by the buyer directly on the Amazon website are also not included.

It is very important that when an order comes that the item is in stock and available to ship. Pre-fulfillment order cancelations that are not in response to buyer requests can point to areas of improvement in your inventory management.

Sellers should work toward achieving and maintaining a pre-fulfillment cancel rate of less than 2.5%.

I feel for the seller, it is not their fault there has been an error with the codes. They will not be able to send all the stuff out free as it might make them go bust.

However this is not the customers fault and they shouldn't be hassling them with emails. They need to sort it out with amazon so amazon allow them to cancel all the orders without any negative effect on their account.

"It seems that a technical error has occurred by amazon UK and they have accidently activated the discount coupon on the order pages of all our products, despite the fact that the code was never ever supposed to be displayed. We have been instructed to send this message to everyone" - from their email.

They need to sort it out with amazon. Think they are in quite a pickle but not handling it very well.
  • Just received 4 cancellation ems. There are another 3 items that I have ordered, which I have not got ems for.

As I have said before, I am not going to take any action and effectively ignore them.

Some of you people have appalling attitude. I hope one day through an error, you will lose your own money and wait for people to be honest to give it back.

Their Email says about bending over backwards to make the customer happy.. i find this rather innapropriate and very unprofessional. This buisness won't last long.
