You should. Over 7 years you would have paid off 21% of the mortgage. So you'd be immune to a 26% price crash, putting the most negative spin on having 26% equity.

Aberdeen rents down 16% (yoy?):

On the other hand, Aberdeen, which has suffered from the downturn in the oil and gas industry and the subsequent loss of residents, who are seeking jobs elsewhere, has seen rental prices fall by 16pc.0 -
