I've got a very exciting story to relate later in the week involving the nationwide simply rewards and amazon offer - a saga starting mid December, reached a pinnacle just before we set off and I've taken up the baton again, hoping for a result eventually ...

My angst has to go somewhere :D

I will be interested in that story mhoc. They havnt rewarded my cashback from Starbucks spend and are just ignoring emails (plural lol) xx

Yes they just sent me a brand new one to replace the non functioning one - not sure what will happen the next time it fails as my design has been replaced by much fancier versions

This is my 3rd replacement and I am sure there is a design fault but if they keep replacing them I don't really mind

Did you get your issue sorted out?

TS and CJJ, I am so proud of both of you. It takes some courage to do the things/show insight into issues that you both have. TS I bet your children are so very proud of you, having a strong resilient mum who can overcome horrible people/situations x

    An initial rant

As I've said before never leave your offspring alone in the house, not if they are 12 or 14 and definitely not if they are nearly 24

Our youngest was home alone for 3 days after we left - possibly not even that as we think he was up north for at least one day

The house initially looked fine when we got back this afternoon, nothing obviously trashed so I was feeling fairly happy.

Ok He had accidentally left a bag out if the freezer which had 2 once frozen and now quietly rotting chicken breasts in so the kitchen reeked but these things happen ...

He left a note to say the kitchen sink was blocking and the water not going down - well the last thing I did was wash up that Saturday morning so I don't know how that happened but a combination of boiling water, a wire wiggled down the drain and unscrewing the sink trap under the sink sorted it out. It had to be done straight away so I could get the washing machine running

Then I had to print off an invoice and normally its a one click job but the printer settings were all to pot so again OH had to work his magic and get the printer working again - the settings on the printer are never altered ever so again we suspect youngest son had been messing about although I don't think we will ever get him to admit this

Finally it was dinner time and we had 2 pasta bakes in pots I'd frozen before we went away. OH put them in the microwave to defrost before putting them in the oven. Nothing happened, dead microwave. The microwave was working fine before we went away so what had youngest son used it for while he has home alone - again I don't imagine we will ever get him to admit what he was doing

Oh had to dig out the new spare microwave (top of eldest child's wardrobe, no idea why we have a brand new spare microwave still boxed but very glad tonight that we did have it)

So maybe one or 2 things but 3 things ????? What on earth was he up to in those 3 days on his own ....

I think they get worse as they get older!:eek::eek:

So much for O at £8.49:eek: and 3 for 2 - I have M at straight 50p each. If that is so, it's an absolutely staggering difference! Unfortunately, O do not match M and, even if they did, I would have not put my money on them as they would be unlikely to have picked it up in M. It may be hard to come by in M - I have found evidence of it in only one store out of 24 I've seen! I trust no-one here would buy at £8.49 (or even 3 for 2 at £16.98:eek:) but would have already snapped them all up before I got there. I am going from the SELs but they don't have the word "Donut" on them - these are the same ones aren't they? M also have the Royal Peanut Feeder (£9.99 individual price:eek: in O), in one other store out of the 24. I have no evidence of M having the Royal Seed version but I suspect they may well have that too, in some store that I have not seen.

I think this one turned up in M in Derby (but I could only see the SEL and couldn't see any stock:() - the other one turned up, I think, turned up in... Winsford in Cheshire of all places the other day:rotfl::rotfl:. (Just laughing about how far away from one another they are. Just, random - like that! And it's reflected in other items that are the same as each other... only found in two stores at either ends of the places I've been to!(:rotfl:))

I noticed that M in Derby and M in Stoke have nearly the same layout. Not exactly the same in every respect (the cakes and bakery are in a different place and on an angle in Derby whereas in Stoke they are in their own aisles I noticed), and also some of the freezer places are laid out differently - otherwise, they are virtually identical and I could almost forget which of the two stores I was in!

Again, if you want one but are a while away, I wouldn't make a special journey to either... no stock:(. They must have them somewhere though (and they certainly have done, as the SELs have been there).

PD have a lovely holiday, where are you going?
    More importantly BEHAVE:p:rotfl::rotfl:
LS hope everything is ok, fingers crossed x

Behave? Never! I'm going to Louisiana, Mississippi and New York. I got pulled over by a fit cop once in Denver. Does that count as misbehaving? Never paid so much attention to a wing mirror *as he softly glided away back to his car* :D

Not before I wish you a jolly holly....have a great time PD.....you deserve a rest....it seems like you've been working solid for the past fortnight:o

    Enjoy:):T

Thank you. To be fair I've been pretty lucky with work of late, it's been non stop since September and I'm back at the work the day after I get back on a new project. Leaving the film and tv industry has been the best decision I've made in my adult life.

I have a cuppa in hand, still warm. Took me 10 minutes to pack. Downloading crap on my ipad however is taking considerably longer :rotfl:
