Note about my price collection later today:
There may be new items for TBG missed this time as the purpose of [Strike]tomorrow's[/Strike] today's checks will be to check the items that are currently on the Tvs M list. I won't have time to check the entire price collection and I'm not doing APG items today (other than completely new items that, so far, I've not had in any of my previous stores and which, for that reason, are it seems to me very unlikely to work).
So, for a couple of days, new Tvs M offers won't be picked up by me - I'll pick up the new potential TBG items (any new M offers) on Wednesday, when I do the full thing again.;):):cool:
The APG just remains on whatever it is on until Thursday. The bold items should now work (apart from the ones that are bold because I've added them on only after finding them after numerous other M stores have had no trace whatsoever of them!:rotfl: They are indicated, where they don't seem to be in as many M stores and therefore, it may be thought, less likely they will be in any of the 6 price collection stores - if you see any of those comparing, though, on wombles (or not doing so) then do please post them and let me/everyone know!).
TIA and goodnight!!:D:A:wave::wave:0 -
Forever catching up

The Quorn Steak Strips were pretty random. They were found comparing to M at 96p (when on a womble with a glitch we missed:mad::rotfl:). That's an example of what can happen if the SELs just happen to be left up (maybe there is still some stock in M:think: - I don't know: I now have yet to see any) in one, or maybe more (perhaps unlikely to be more?), of the stores the APG happens to check.
I had that too - a SEL in one of my stores - but had seen no stock for so long that I thought it was extremely unlikely to work. But, there we are: just random, they happened to pick it up! So, they may well pick up some of the items I don't think are likely to work (as none of them are but some of them might) but then probably miss some of them as they aren't in any of their stores. Unfortunately we don't know which items are going to work and which are not. Then again, they could be missing items I've always had on my list as, although they are in at least one of the stores I regularly check (and most of the items are in all of them), they might not be in any of theirs.
If anyone who happens to be in M does see some Quorn Steak Strips, I would be very interested to know!
I think that may explain the randomness of it all. I do not know whether the Quorn Strips will still pick up an M price of 96p as that SEL may now have been removed or things changed in the store (probably store not stores) they got that from. Nothing has changed for me in my regular stores. I still have that SEL and no stock in one of them (and nothing elsewhere). But I doubt they use any of those stores - they could do, of course, as anything's possible. But it's very unlikely that I'd be doing a main price collection in one store, as my primary store, and for the APG collectors to have that very store as one of the six they are checking. Very unlikely, but it's theoretically possible purely by chance.
Quorn Steak Strips were an item unlikely to work therefore, but they did! So did the Dettol Sanitiser but I get the impression (it may be wrong) that that was more available in M than it is now and it's not turning up in any new stores for me. I really doubt they will have that in any of their six - as usual, I could be wrong - just by chance they could pick a store that has it - but I doubt many M stores at all have it now. I'm having a lot of trouble finding it very widely, and extremely doubtful that a random six is likely to pick a store that has it. It really does seem to me like winning the lottery for a store to be picked and it match up with one of the seemingly extremely few that still has it.

Of course, I know where these products are:rotfl:.
If my memory doesn't fail me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
It's not that they are completely unavailable - I have found them all after all! - but they don't seem to be stocked very widely as far as my increasing set of stores tells me. So - you get the point - sorry I'm labouring:o:o, I might go asleep in a minute:rotfl: - they are less likely to be in a small sample of stores you might pick, though obviously you might hit lucky (and therefore the APG/TBG might do so - although very unlikely it seems!). It's all probabilities isn't it? APG uses 6 stores I understand (unless they've changed that) - 3 of which may be in Scotland (I've not checked any Scottish stores as I'm not near enough). TBG uses 3 stores. Just 3. Like me most of the time actually:rotfl:. So, what are they going to pick up from that?:huh:
It's not store-specific - I have three stores (out of the 24 so far) in which one specific product is evident - two had stock and one a SEL only (which is good enough if that was an APG store). There was a conflict of price:rotfl: - but I picked the lowest price (as per the APG T&Cs as if I was doing it - I follow the same rules). I know that this product is returning N/A on the APG - so, obviously, the fact it is in fewer stores for me shows it's unlikely to be in a price collection store and, indeed, it seems that is the case:(. It might work on TBG who knows? However, it seems even more unlikely as one of their three stores would have to stumble upon (almost it seems) a store that happens to have it - and my figure shows it's not in many. If, hypothetically, they happened to choose the very three stores in all of which it is evident (a very unlikely scenario indeed), then the conflicts in price I had, on this occasion, would mean, under TBG, the most common price would win out - so would still be the lowest price. (I have two at the lowest price and one at some other price.) It would work and compare to the correct price.
However, if they picked (unlikely) two of these stores plus a further that did not have it, and happened to pick one with one price and one with the other, then there would be no common price and it would be given an N/A. If they picked just one store with it, and two others without, and the store they picked happened to be the one with the twice as high price, then it should compare to that price in error:( rather than the right price which is a pound lower. So, in that case, it would seem to me you'd get an unfavourable incorrect comparison and not a price-match (to M's real price) at all. Then again, it is most likely (it seems judging by my store's tally, which may be no guide) to see you paying even more (T's even higher price) as they are, it seems, unlikely to pick one of the three stores that has it - on the basis of which I am extrapolating to say that it seems unlikely to be available in many other stores either. Dangerous thing - extrapolating (might not quite give a true picture - we can never know from a sample, although the larger the sample the more perhaps closer we get, although then we don't know as to whether we are getting a true picture or not).
The Quorn Steak Strips are in the same position - in fact for me they are even worse as not even got three stores with any evidence of those now - yet they worked on the APG and they, maybe, just happened to have a random hit. There's no point me even telling you which M stores they are in as they are not there - I have yet to find any stock these days! So, the SEL is there but they are not! They are not there. (There was a time - several weeks before this successful comparison - when the Steak Strips were in more stores, it seemed to me, although I had only seen much fewer stores then, and were likely to be picked up. I had them in two out of three of my regular stores, if not all three and, therefore, as the APG checks more than me (usually:rotfl:), it is more likely that one of its six, at that time, would have had them back then. It was a shame, when I tried them, that they appeared to have linked them to a wrong price. It was a surprise, tbh, that it still had them (and then at the correct price) as late as it did - as I then just had this one SEL. I do now think that is likely to have gone N/A on the APG - unless they keep getting this one SEL in one of the stores that they keep checking.)
Bye now!:wave:
[EDIT: :rotfl:I know I've written a whole lot now, and it's very weird behaviour at half past one a.m.! However, I'll leave the post up anyway:cool::rotfl:. See you tomorrow night, probably, with whatever yet more I have from M!:D]
Maybe I'll find the Quorn Strips:rotfl::rotfl:.0 -
Yes I am still awake, far too much stuff whirling around my head
Oh is snoring his head off so I gave up and got up again, living room is very quiet and peaceful but I've ended up sharing the sofa with 2 large black tom cats - OH gets a king size bed to himself with a small tortoiseshell cat wrapped around his head - cat hat style
Think I am going to give up and put a washing load on
2 nasty jobs to do tomorrow so I will be very grumpy until the To Do list is tackled - firstly suitcase emptying
And then there is the fridge“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
A nasty smell it taking over our fridge, must have started the week I had the dreaded lurge and could not smell much
I've emptied and wiped down various shelves and removed anything suspect but still the smell lingers so tommorow everything has to come out so I can find the offending article
I have a new tub of bicarbonate open to absorb the smell but it does not do the job
- does anyone one else have any home spun remedies for fridge beautifying?
I've got lemons and elbow grease
No selling the fridge and starting again is not an option“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Good morning:):):)0
