An initial rant
As I've said before never leave your offspring alone in the house, not if they are 12 or 14 and definitely not if they are nearly 24
Our youngest was home alone for 3 days after we left - possibly not even that as we think he was up north for at least one day
The house initially looked fine when we got back this afternoon, nothing obviously trashed so I was feeling fairly happy.
Ok He had accidentally left a bag out if the freezer which had 2 once frozen and now quietly rotting chicken breasts in so the kitchen reeked but these things happen ...
He left a note to say the kitchen sink was blocking and the water not going down - well the last thing I did was wash up that Saturday morning so I don't know how that happened but a combination of boiling water, a wire wiggled down the drain and unscrewing the sink trap under the sink sorted it out. It had to be done straight away so I could get the washing machine running
Then I had to print off an invoice and normally its a one click job but the printer settings were all to pot so again OH had to work his magic and get the printer working again - the settings on the printer are never altered ever so again we suspect youngest son had been messing about although I don't think we will ever get him to admit this
Finally it was dinner time and we had 2 pasta bakes in pots I'd frozen before we went away. OH put them in the microwave to defrost before putting them in the oven. Nothing happened, dead microwave. The microwave was working fine before we went away so what had youngest son used it for while he has home alone - again I don't imagine we will ever get him to admit what he was doing
Oh had to dig out the new spare microwave (top of eldest child's wardrobe, no idea why we have a brand new spare microwave still boxed but very glad tonight that we did have it)
So maybe one or 2 things but 3 things ????? What on earth was he up to in those 3 days on his own ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I got home to him grinning ear to ear..... he had book 3 weeks in Florida for us all - flying that evening... it was mid afternoon.
I had an hour to pack for the 5 of us (he was useless and just kept smiling and laughing!). We made it to the airport.. only just. I was sat in the airport writing to the children's schools informing them that they were being educated otherwise at the beginning of term. After the initial panic, it was the most easy preparation for holiday that we have ever had (but if he does it again, I may kill him!):D:D:D:D
That sounds like one of my recurring nightmares...oh yes....and the one where my maths exam is the next day and I've done no revision:eek:

:rotfl:Buy in M list is now going over the maximum characters for a single post!(:rotfl:)
So, I'm continuing it into post 5. There you are, Mr M, you only need to let us know the entirety of what you sell and we might put your good products up:p:doh:; otherwise we will be missing so much stuff, and not buying any of it from you, for months on end.

Have looked and looked can't find where or how to do it
So an idiots guide would be good

What are you stuck on perky?
From memory...log into your quidco account and select "browse" in the top left corner.
Then choose click and snap.
There's an option of "uploading your receipt on the right"
Choose that and then follow the instructionsTo do is to be. Rousseau

I did make my scan this afternoon.....just:eek: I've spent a few days in hospital this week. I was so run down from my cold I got a staph infection in my bloodstream. Pumped full of antibiotics now.
As it was I needn't have worried about staying still. I had a neck brace and a wedge either side of my head plus some contraption to keep my hips still so I literally couldn't move. I also managed the full 1 hour and 45 minutes without needing a wee
Just catching up, FC you must have been at a low ebb for them to have kept you in hospital for days - you really must be so fed up of all the proddings and investigations - how long before you get the results of the whole body scan or is it just the start of just another set of tests?
Lots of cough, colds and chest infections doing the rounds over Christmas, virtually impossible to avoid catching something“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Very brave :A Do you think it helped cjj? xx
Years ago I was asked to go to group therapy but I didn't want to and when my 6 weeks seeing the therapist on NHS was up that was it.
I know I only manage things of a fashion sometimes but on the whole I am loads better than I used to be. It is just sad that when I was at my worse the girls were young and probably suffered for it.
Aww bless you :A
Don't be sad, you didn't choose to be that way. You always come across as the most loving Mum and you will have done your best at all times I'm very sure of that
Group therapy never helped me as people with ocd have such different problems I just couldn't relate even though I've had it since early childhood.
As for ERP I had 20 hours 1-1 and still couldn't get myself in the building or out again. Therapist had to meet me at door and walk me back to the door afterwards so no I don't think it did help me. It gave me a tool to cope though so was worth itA person who has been avoiding something for 25 years plus is never going to find it easy exposing themselves to that very thing. My whole life revolves around avoidance of my fears. Having said that I am considering going back because I owe it to my family to try and get better xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

I've got a very exciting story to relate later in the week involving the nationwide simply rewards and amazon offer - a saga starting mid December, reached a pinnacle just before we set off and I've taken up the baton again, hoping for a result eventually ...
My angst has to go somewhere“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
