Just had a phone call from my sister - her son has planned a party in their house whilst we are away visiting Dad :mad::mad::mad:

By chance she has found out as someone texted her about it

At the moment - the trip has been delayed whilst she tries to stop party/ threaten son etc

    :(:(:(

Don't be too mad Snap. I planned parties in my parents absence :o and my kids have planned parties in my absence. It's kind of a right of passage and everyone deserves a chance to push their luck :o
it will get sorted. The party planners don't think of the reason the grown ups are not going to be there. That's the beauty of being a teenager ;)

Enjoy your visit with your Dad :heart2:

So, not worth it then at higher than what you paid? (I felt like that on my 181g:( Mars Selection - and then, the next day, the family had all consumed the lot:mad::rotfl:. Gone! It was meant to last the next six months!) When I had no clue, before I joined here, I once bought a box of Haribo at £5:eek::eek:. Turned out to contain about 10 packs of Haribo, that were probably individually 10p each. V. expensive way that one!

I blame Mr M about my washing powder (about which I am just ending my obsession!). I saw some Daz washing powder at about two-thirds offer price (so not quite half of the 'half' price) on the RTC shelf - it was a bit damaged - but I went and checked and it was less than half full! So that would have been v.expensive and probably cost more than buying a full pack on offer! And even that was no good for me. So I didn't buy any of it at all, and thus... well, I bought what I bought didn't I?:o:rotfl:

We've done it before though - I remember decades ago we used regularly to buy washing powder at £9 because it wasn't on half price in the place where we shopped and just paid at the price at the time. It's only us being savvy experts (or supposed to be in my case:rotfl:) that makes some shopping later seem like a failure!

You could return the washing powder?

Cannot believe this story made it on to QT
There's politicians on there who quite simply don't have the time to look for a ticket that costs less than £168 :rotfl:

Wonder how eco friendly Mr Cox is? Taking a plane to make a journey that's perfectly do-able by rail isn't very good for the environment

I won't even get started on parents who wear PJs to take their kids to school  :rotfl::rotfl:

I've been to Morries in my PJs before :rotfl: and Maccy D's drive thru :o

I'm not going to bother. It was paid for with glitchy APGs anyway, tbh I'm glad I got them off my hands (even if 'wasted' on something now).

Am I the only person that's very scared at the thought of Donald Trump being a serious contender to lead one of the most powerful countries on the planet? surely that won't happen?
I've just been watching a programme about how much support he has. Scary

    Tramp  :p :rotfl:

On a serious note. I'm with the headteacher who respectfully asked parents not to turn up in PJs. it does give out the wrong message to kids. it takes no time to get washed, dressed and looking decent for the day.

I do think taking kids to school dressed for bed sends out the wrong message. That's just me. it spills over into real life and before you know where you are, you're following someone in a giant bunny suit pushing a trolley in Asda  :rotfl::rotfl:
