I know how the failed shop feels. I got £1.83 from my £14 spend - wasn't buying glitch items as none of them we will need. Should have been around £6.83. £1.83 - hardly worth bothering with:mad:. (I've had more off people's wombles.) Sadly the wombles today, for me, are either tiny or no return. Nearly everyone today buying 7 different items:( - I left about four of those receipts behind. Buying duplicates of the same item - people generally do not follow rules do they?:huh: Or, usually, either are unaware of the rules or don't care about them. I'm expecting people that leave receipts behind to be aware of APG rules:doh::rotfl:. And, no, bag for life purchase does not count:mad::rotfl:. (No use 7 items and that one!)
So, it's been a no-good day all round for me at A today. Not many receipts anyway and, the ones I did find, people buying items that are cheaper at A:(. So, this time it was a waste (you do feel down when that happens - but it does seem to be a minority of the time). I'll be back on another day however! I'm glad Sal managed to extract at least £2.29 for me:D:rotfl::cool:.
However, I suppose I could have bought any non-grocery item instead - say some kitchen equipment - for £9 straight A price and then would not have got anything back off that. And used APGs to pay for it. So, it's a bit like that!0 -

Evening Peeps.
Just to say, Mr T Classic Cola 8 can pack, caffeine free, plus diet scanned at 65p per multi pack, not sure what it tastes like, better be nice as I stocked up.
Not sure if national, as on offer price is £2 online.

Serendipitious wrote: »Well, I've just opened a box of T's fruit jellies bought during my post-Xmas raid on their choc/sweet aisle where everything scanned at much lower prices than the SELs.
And found they contain precisely 10 fruit jellies, all nested individually in a plastic tray.
Feel very sorry for those who paid full price...
Nice cookies, PD. x
So, not worth it then at higher than what you paid? (I felt like that on my 181g:( Mars Selection - and then, the next day, the family had all consumed the lot:mad::rotfl:. Gone! It was meant to last the next six months!) When I had no clue, before I joined here, I once bought a box of Haribo at £5:eek::eek:. Turned out to contain about 10 packs of Haribo, that were probably individually 10p each. V. expensive way that one!
I blame Mr M about my washing powder (about which I am just ending my obsession!). I saw some Daz washing powder at about two-thirds offer price (so not quite half of the 'half' price) on the RTC shelf - it was a bit damaged - but I went and checked and it was less than half full! So that would have been v.expensive and probably cost more than buying a full pack on offer! And even that was no good for me. So I didn't buy any of it at all, and thus... well, I bought what I bought didn't I?:o:rotfl:
We've done it before though - I remember decades ago we used regularly to buy washing powder at £9 because it wasn't on half price in the place where we shopped and just paid at the price at the time. It's only us being savvy experts (or supposed to be in my case:rotfl:) that makes some shopping later seem like a failure!0 -
Duvet sets were from 2.50 for Single, approx. 3.50 double, 5-7.50 King.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0

How much were your Fruit Jellies btw? Don't tell me I've paid too much for my 50p 200g Berggold Fruit Jellies from M the other week!:rotfl: (I knew you could probably get slightly bigger bags of fruity sweets from Aldi for a little cheaper - but still bought the Berggold box:doh: (:wall::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).)0

Also if in T, worth a look at kettles/toasters as lots of Russell Hobbs at £10 each. There were lots this morning, decided to go again tonight as we needed a kettle, none available but I managed to find one mixed in with the full priced kettles. Canterbury model, cream or shiny silver if anyone is interested.
