I have returned from my shopping trip.....
went to M and picked up a free Aveeno daily moisturising lotion using the £2 coupon from the caring everyday website.
They are currently offering a voucher for £2 off anything in the Aveeno range and the 200ml daily moisturising lotion is reduced from £4.95 to £2...it took a bit of finding but its a good sized freebie if your M stock it.
went on to T where I did also find some of the dark bath mats...thanks Tiny or Snap...I cant remember who found them but for £1.50 each I picked up the last 2.
and then I had a melt down at the reduced counter of all places...over a pack of chops containing 4 and the remembrance that we are a family of 3 now....
Aww LEJC I'm sitting here with tears streaming. You never said but I suspected this was the case. I'm so very sorry, I cannot begin to imagine your pain. You are in my thoughts and I'm sending you much love. Are you being supported ? xxxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Sainsbury's Basics Lasagne Sheets 500g 25p
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sainsbury-s-basics-lasagne-sheets-500g-25p-2383249
Again, didn't I mention about three months ago that Sains. Basics turned out to be best price by weight on the value-range lasagne sheets?:rotfl::rotfl:
Possibly not three months, maybe it was when I was doing Lidl before Christmas (in other words well over a month ago!) and I think Lidl's, and certainly T's Eday Value, turned out to be - as they have long been:D:doh: - 250g (half the weight of Sains) at 29p! So I think I may have mentioned that Sains had twice the weight for 25p. Maybe they are just heavier?:D0 -

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

M is £1 on the 4 pack versions. Obviously vs T at £1.45 on the 8 pack works out much better - even at straight 10% off. Which is why I never put the expensive £1 yoghurts onto the list:rotfl: (apart from the fact they've been, slightly, sub-£1 before - but never as cheap as half of T's 8 pack price). I had hoped they'd be a glitch on the A side of the comp. for a moment:rotfl:.0 -

So, hello, and just quickly [he says as he now edits a very long post:rotfl:] as I have to go out again soon - to the 'evening meal' - there is I think very little change indeed in M today (compared to Monday). A few items to delete and a few to add. As far as I can tell from my useless stores anyway:rotfl: as I don't have all the items in my stores so I assume some prices (I'll doubtless see the items again at some point). I haven't had sight of the AB Winter Fruit Crumble today, but it will be £1 until 31/1, the same as the SpottedDick. Thank goodness for that small store having it on Monday:rotfl:. I think they may be a lot of changeover on frozen items next time.
I had a sneak look at msm last night, to check that I wasn't missing anything. And it seems that, indeed, these have only gone on offer in M either yesterday or today and will only be picked up by me today. I don't know about the chances of this comparing - which I think will need to wait until later in the week - as some Ms may not have changed their SELs until later, after they did the price check - I found stock out in the offer freezer with £1 printed on promotional material - however the main aisle still had £2.81 SELs! The other M I've checked did have offer label on the actual SELs, which is the important area for the APG I think, but again just depends what they find in their stores. I think I would leave these off until well into next week - might not be picked up yet and it is a huge drop in M price which could cause the APG to delay further!
Young's Chip Shop Extra Large Fish Fillets in Beer Batter (2 per pack - 320g)
[Strike]£2.81[/Strike] £1.00 31.3p / 100g Valid until 14/02/2016
£2.00
I don't know about this being £1, I have found another one at £2 offer, but none of this in my stores:
Cadbury Dairy Milk Ice Cream Swirl Luxury Ice Cream (3x100ml)
£1.00 33.3p / 100ml
£1.75
It probably is somewhere though.
I don't have these in my two Ms - I did find some Schwartz Grill Mates in one of them but they were a much smaller size (and much more expensive obviously that these work out to be) but I'm sure that M will have them somewhere so I am going to put them onto the list - just depends if the APG find them in their M stores though. Again, I think this be a 'wait', since they may have only gone on offer in M yesterday or today (so will have missed the Monday price collection).
Schwartz Grill Mates Marinade in a Bag Spicy BBQ (200g)
£1.00 50p / 100g
£1.10
£2.00
Schwartz Grill Mates Marinade in a Bag Brazilian BBQ (200g)
£1.00 50p / 100g
£1.10
---
I thought A were much higher priced - maybe the beggars have put their price down:mad:! Ah...
Schwartz Grill Mates Marinade in a Bag Honey & Soy (200g)
£1.00 50p / 100g
£2.00
£2.20:D
Or this (but depends what range the APG price collectors have):
Schwartz Grill Mates Marinade in a Bag Red Wine & Garlic (200g)
£1.00 50p / 100g
£2.20
---
I've changed my mind about the Crucials Yoghurt & Mint, as I am finding that in more Ms now - but certainly not in them all and had one store today where it seems they've got all or most of them except Yoghurt & Mint (the one that A has) but the other store does have Yoghurt & Mint in its range and is now one of quite a few more M stores for me that do have it. So, perhaps it's not as risky as I thought it was!
Also, if you've been to M looking and not finding some item that I have on my list as it was not in your store, do have another check again on your next visit as I am finding items appearing in Ms where they were not there before! So they may come into stock, suddenly, for you next time.
I do have the Thorntons 106g at 50p in one of my stores today. Showing £1.50! So, maybe it will be the APG at £1.95 vs £1.50:rotfl:! (I doubt it - they are very unlikely to be in the store I used.) I don't know about the chance of this comparing against 50p though from Monday and from today I'm even more in doubt about it. I'd say it was a bit of a long shot from Monday, as may not have been in their Ms (but probably had a better chance of working). Possibly it would be somewhere in one of their six stores - I did find it in one of mine!:D - and maybe it would currently work (that's if we are even on Monday yet). However, I also found the one specific Maryland cookies at 50p and they did not work.
Now, the trouble I think is that the 50p Thorntons goes OOS and they remove the SELs in the Ms that showed 50p - maybe it's still got the SEL there in an M: I don't know as I have been unable to travel to the one that had the 50p showing on Monday for me - and the M stores that are more likely to have it now, maybe, are the ones that had the incorrect SELs (such as the one today with the £1.50 that they haven't changed:rotfl:). So maybe an indication about the APG, possibly, going forward (i.e. on Thursday/Friday onwards from the update from today). I may have bought it in M but I decided not to buy it anyway, as I thought it's just like toffee and Dominion's Toffees in Aldi - nearly twice the weight - are less than half the cost! So, I thought Thorntons at 50p, for a small bag, was pretty dear. Nonetheless, I know where it is should I decide I want it after all:D.
(If stores that have 50p sell them all, due to people thinking it's good price, then that risks them removing the SELs completely as they have no stock left and aren't getting any more in, leaving that M with no evidence of the product, but the only SELs remaining are the ones in stores that didn't change them such as mine with the £1.50:rotfl:, that therefore still have lots of stock: if the APG then includes one of those stores and - due to the stockouts doesn't find any SEL elsewhere (in another M) - it is likely to get high unchanged SEL price and not 50p. They go by the SELs they have. Otherwise, if the misprice is rare, and it's sold out and no SELs elsewhere, they may end up with no indication of the product in any of their check stores and therefore N/A. I don't know that they will not get more in however*: one of my stores has randomly changed the RTC lollies pack that it stocks and now has a SEL for it and not for the one that it had before - so, it's all very random IMO and depends on what happens to be, on any given check date, in the stores they happen to check - stock can change around and vary from one to the other between one collection and the next - and just depends what is indicated in the Ms that they happen to use and what they notice and pick up.)
I'll see you later!
*If so they may keep the SEL up, which allows APG collectors to get its info:T, but show 'temporarily OOS' but if it remains OOS for more than 7 days and if the collectors are checking that store, they may then go N/A even if it continues to be available then in other M stores which they do not happen to check, if there is no stock and no SEL for the product then in any of the other Ms which they do check.0 -
I want to punch someone. I have just had an email from Customer Relations at Hotpoint saying he's checked the system and can see my appliance was delivered on 20/01/2016. Either their system is wrong or someone has put in the wrong information :mad::mad:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
