Hi, don't some company's make you see red!!
I have a range cooker which I reported on the 13th Dec to the company that I have it insured with that 1 oven wouldn't stay a light and the grill stuck on low heat. I had to ring another company to get the repair done, well to cut a long story short, I only had 1 oven over Xmas, repair on New Year's Eve to oven only, grill still not been done and £10 in phone call :mad:

Latest, they offered me 55% off new cooker through them, which would cost me over £500
Another appointment to repair grill ( been repaired about 5 times already) same fault ever time.
Or a settlement figure, the 55% that they would pay towards a new one, less what's left on the policy, plus compensation,
This added up to £684!! I can get the same cooker in the sale at curry's for £729 so I've opted for this. Just waiting for the money to be transferred into my account, plus the cost of the phone calls.

o2 priority moments give £20 off a £250 spend in currys
t&c says not with another offer, not sure if that means sale items

I get the impression that big companies do not care anymore :(
Totally agree with you, lack of contact, or no contact after they tell we will ring, never happened.
The best was we booked a morning call so dh could still go to work, they rang at 9.30 to say a engineer would call between 1-3 :mad:

I have had such problems getting through to Hotpoint I started chatting to them through FB! Such a lack of communication that I ended up firing off emails to several directors of John Lewis (where I bought it) and Hotpoint. Got a reply within the hour from John Lewis, they allocated me a case manager, and I finally started getting information out of them. A bit concerned that they seem to think I have had the replacement unit though
