saying that , its getting dark , get a shifty on and make sure they are out before the day is up
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Depends where you live. Still full daylight here - even a bit of sun :)

The working day is almost over and that's as long as I would give them to, they're lucky you aren't trying to move in at the same time. Once they were gone I'd be changing the locks. I do that as a matter of course anyway in a new home for peace of mind but in your case it would also stop them from sneaking back over the weekend.
  • I'm paying a solicitor to represent me though, seems silly for me to do the work for them?

I've never met the person moving out, what if it's an angry divorcee? or an emotional widow? or a !!!!! boss who's being relocated in a witness protection program? I'm not a negotiator.. I could end up causing more problems.

In the above case I'd bring a pop up chair and popcorn, better than whats on telly.

When we moved, our vendor (who was moving from Essex to Hampshire) kept going on and on about needing our money early in the day so that they could move early as it was a long trip for them so I arranged to borrow the money on the Friday before the Monday completion so that he would have his money early.
On the day, all went as planned and he had his money at 09.30am. We moved from London to Essex (about 40 miles) and when we arrived at 1pm, the vendor and his wife were still in the house and she opened the door in a bathrobe having just had a leisurely shower.

I had to wait outside on the drive with my removal van and my 17 year old cat in a basket doing her nut while they farted about inside for about an hour. Their removal van had been gone for ages.

I was furious. Luckily, they had forgotten to forward their mail so I sat on it for a few months before binning it.

Yes, hence wondering if it's normal (seems like it is, ill remember for next time)
Now going to pop over, it's still light... i'm just taking a couple of camping chairs and a few beers so not much to move in.. hopefully they're gone now, otherwise I guess i need to start bothering them.

Go in the house and fart a lot, a method I have actually used.

However, this means you can prevent them leaving anything behind in the house!
