On the subject of insurance no one knows what insurance the op's sister has on the car and who is covered to drive it, maybe the op's sister is younger and added the older sister as a named driver to bring the price down, maybe anyone over 25 can drive it, not one person asked why the child's father didn't pay towards the hospital visit, she's getting slated for something she might possibly have done but no one knows!
She's not getting "slated", a simple question was asked, that's all.

But we're not talking about trade insurance.

We are talking a bout a normal person insuring their car for 'any driver' which is quite possible and doesn't require the driver to hold any other insurance.

Would you be able to point me in the direction of a policy/company that provides this? As far as I was aware these policies stopped being sold over seventeen years ago as my dad had one to drive my car, after this period he was never again able to get it.
  • Are you being deliberately obtuse?

That has nothing to do with what we are talking about.

I think any driver policies still exist but they are usually from specialist brokers/insurers and cost quite a bit, I'd would doubt it if the OP's sister had this on their policy.

Who's being obtuse! You brought up the subject of any driver policies so it's exactly what you were discussing.

Maybe you should read what is written, not what you think is written.

Really? There aren't any when spelled incorrectly, when you spell it correctly still a big fat no.
  • OK I give up, people on this thread have already told you they have their cars insured for any driver yet you continue to insist it can't happen.
