Then you have wasted your money. You should have done it yourself for free.0 -
I wanna change mine to Sir Fred Goodwin and see if I get a bank error in my favour!0

you mentioned changing names for the 'whole family' back to your maiden name which implies that you were married. logical assumption being that there are kids as well, so please don't be offended if I've leapt to the wrong conclusion. please be aware that everyone with parental responsibility has to give permission for a child's name to be changed.Eat food. Will this really work? My daughter wants to change her surname to the same as mine, this includes her driving licence and passport. I understand most things, banks, etc, are supposed to be straight-forward, but will a home printed deed poll really be sufficient for a new passport and driving licence?0 -

Just thought i'd add that in scotland you have to get forms from the Registrar General and return them along with payment for a new birth certificate. The new certificate arrives with your new name on the actual certificate with your old name in the notes section at the bottom.0

Well strictly speaking, the passport would not be valid anymore. So no, it couldn't be used. In practice though, how would an Immigration Officer know she's changed her name? It'll be fine.

Tidy up the cosmetics, but otherwise the wording is fine.0
