Hi everyone
What a day. Vets, work, went to doctors about DS1s prescription, then met DS2 off the school bus so he could get his hair cut then home. Tea cooked, another load of washing in and now collapsed in front of the telly and fire. DSs bed still to make up.
Poor doggie feeling fragile, hope he is a bit more himself tomorrow. £120 bill and we are back next week for a review. Need to look at shuffling some money about but too tired now.0 -
Oh I should have said thanks for tips about car breakdown cover, will have a look at the suggestions tomorrow. We somehow ended up payment a fortune on a monthly DD and I need to find out about cancelling this first.0

aw thanks for this but my dad has already dropped the dress off for me.0 -

Vickthestick god that nearly made me cry reading that. I still have my wedding dress and after reading that charity shops don't really want them because many people prefer a new dress anyway, I've not felt inclined to take it in. But the thought of having it go for that is really moving. If you find out what the charity is please let me know.

When we had a labrador we found a Dyson upright very good. Still have a Dyson upright a DC-04 and can honestly say it's amazing though we no longer have a dog. Got the Dyson secondhand for £38 in CashConverters. I like the fact that it doesn't require hoover bags and that you can buy easy to fit spares for it easily online. (Link) This essentially makes it ever-lasting.
Lurker here, and sorry I don't have something more substantial to post for the first time in the daily DFW threads... but this ^ made me think of this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/99/74/bb/9974bbbb178c51e95144a5632a2f0a4b.jpg0 -
Updated signature as OH paid £100 into the wedding pot
Wrote the majority of our wedding invitations this evening. They were a bargain, £4 for 10 from Hobbycraft and have a nice vintage look. Much more sensible than spending £100s on personalised printed ones. I need another pack of RSVP cards (also £4) so will pick one up tomorrow. It's starting to feel much more real now
