That was an early start this morning Ally! Thanks for kicking us off :j
I've already made a start on the jobs list this morning by stripping and making both the beds, first load of washing is on and the last load that washed overnight is hanging on the airer as we speak :money:
I also need to:Transfer my first virtual sealed pot challenge amount to savings
Tidy the lounge
Go to baby group (me and DS2 get lots of free snacks and brews!)
Take pics of some furniture that's left in the old house and see if we can sell it before the house sale completes (anyone need a couch or snuggler armchair?:rotfl:)
Think about what I'm going to wear tomorrow night! We're off to a place called Gotham in Manchester as my christmas pressie from my sister. Can't wait!
Research a new hoover that's good for pet hair since mine set on fire earlier in the week

Morning all, thanks for starting Ally
It's a lovely sunny, crisp morning here. I'm huddled over a portable heater at work on full blastA perk of being at work
It'll probably not be a NSD for me as I need to hoover the car out before the MOT tomorrow (I have a very hairy dog). I'm at work until 6pm so can't do it at home in the dark - I'll have to take it to the supermarket garage and pay £1. It's at the point where it is quite embarrassing so I'll have to do it, although I don't think it would fail it's MOT for "excessive dog hair" :rotfl:
All meals from stores - leek and potato soup for lunch
We urgently need to do a food shop but I think it'll have to wait until tomorrow - that means tea tonight will be a creative mix of whatever is in the freezer/ cupboards
Banking checked. I need to pay another cheque in at lunchtime - it's all going in the savings pot and I haven't touched anything I was lucky enough to get for Christmas and birthday
Lots to do at work today but I'm glad it's Friday!

Morning Frugalistas,
Much better start today. Headache gone, alarm went off & it isn't raining!! Money saving stuff done so far:
*Whole house cleaned using minimal products & cleaning cloths I cut from an old cotton jersey duvet cover.
*All bins emptied & sorted into sacks (recycled potato sack & charity bag!) ready for wheelie bins.
*Bed & household linens collected up for a cheap overnight wash.
*Small amount of new cat food mashed with last night's spurned food. He still just licked the jelly off then took his muddy paws upstairs to see about getting on the newly changed clean duvet cover. Luckily I know his tactics of old & intercepted him at the door. Now outside sulking (him, not me!)
*Added a few items to charity bag as intend to drop off tomorrow. Not money saving but decluttering always good.
*Wrote shopping list.
*Wrote list of what we need to do in town tomorrow to maximise car park fee.
*Bag of books gone back to the library.
Still to do:
*Dismantle Christmas wreath. Compost the greenery & pack the wire ring, baubles, fircones & ribbons away for next December's creation.
*Hang up mistletoe in shed in paper bag for berries to ripen so I can have another go at getting it to grow on our old apple tree. 3rd attempt. I know just how to do it, but no luck as yet.
*Do at least 1 job from my 'Annoying Things' List 1 (the list of things I cam solve for free if only I'd get my ar*e in gear!!) Ideally I'd like to do 2 jobs from this list today AND start a 3rd. Hmmm. Better get off down the shed with my wire clippers......oh, & will be using up last tortilla wraps, bit of cheese, slice of ham, etc, in a quesadilla for lunch.....plus another mankmongous apple.
Have a good Friday all,

:starmod: Plan today’s meals from stores :A easy today as ds1 is going to a friends (who I know is taking him to KFC) so I'm taking ds2 to get a Mc'ds happy meal. Me & dh will have left over turkey dinner that was meant to be last nights meal but dh fancied chips so I swapped Thursdays meal for Fridays

Extras
:starmod: My dad called in for breakfast after the gym and helped me move some furniture around in the kids playroom. Also moved some pictures to cover a seam on the wall were we boarded up the room (was a through lounge/dining room, we blocked it up to give us our sitting room & the kids a separate playroom, we did it ourselves and but didn't have it replastered properly as we had a cupboard in front of it that hid it but we needed to move things around) :A
:starmod: Touched up paint in that room too & painted over were we'd had a little leak late last year :A
:starmod: Touched up with the same paint in by bedroom :A
:starmod: Look on ikea website to see if they still do the little side table that dh has at his side of the sofa (only paid £7.50 for it last year and it was reduced so don't know if it was the end of a line) tried the table at my side (didn't think there was room for it but it does fit and would be much better then the 3 legged triangle glass table that I have at the minute, easily knocked over as its next to the enterance to the room) I really hope they have it as I would be able to put two little wicker baskets that I have in a bathroom cupboard with toiletries in, in there and keep the various phone/computer/tablets cables/chargers etc :A Thanks Ally - Still available for £9, it will be perfect
Right cuppa finished so I had better get on!!
Have a good afternoon all. I do love this thread0 -

When we had a labrador we found a Dyson upright very good. Still have a Dyson upright a DC-04 and can honestly say it's amazing though we no longer have a dog. Got the Dyson secondhand for £38 in CashConverters. I like the fact that it doesn't require hoover bags and that you can buy easy to fit spares for it easily online. (Link) This essentially makes it ever-lasting.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

I was just about to say that there's no way we can afford a Dyson, then read on and you got yours for £38?? That's amazing! We do want a Dyson so I might have a look in cash converters. Cheers Ally!!HIGHEST DEBT £63,300 LBM 27/5/2020 DEBT FREE DATE 31.08.20220 -
