none in my local stores all week
It IS a Techwood, and (see my earlier post) anyone having problems will have no luck getting help from Techwood Helpline as they refuse to help anyone who hasn't bought the box from Currys or Dixons - they reckon that Tesco is selling it so cheaply. HOWEVER, if you get a faulty one (if you manage to get one, that is) Tesco will replace it (if they have any to replace it with). My sister's wouldn't pick up ITV1 and she ended up having to replace the digibox with a grundig model, and had to pay £20 more for the pleasure.0 -
Does one need to rush to buy this item ? My answer is No.
The reason being - digital switch over is still a good time away, and price of the set top box(STB) will come down, that too from reputed company with one or two year free warranty. So unless you feel feverish sitting and watching QVC, Pricedrop et all without a freeview STB - take it easy.
Tesco's are infamous for selling cheap, re-branded, and faulty production lines to suite their large customer profile.
I totally avoid tesco for buying my everyday goods -oh but yes, buying their equities make a good sense for being what discussed here.0 -
TECHWOOD AE STBS7B Digital Freeview
Catalogue number: 202-6072
Back on website although it says Sorry, this is temporarily out of stock
There is a link to be notified by email when they are back in stock - suggesting more stock is on its way?

richer sounds do cheap boxes too, i have one within driving distance but bought a random supermarket special from asda last time and i was a bit disappointed the remote batteries are lasting longer than the box itself, will take my time and get a great box for a great price to last longerthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
