  • I have taken someones advice on here and written to Tesco. i dont mind missing out, but am angry at the way in which the advertising is still up all over the place, with absolutely no chance of any more stock (Tesco employee information from yesterday) Do Tesco need to stoop this low to entice people into their shop. Is their a law on advertising goods which are no longer available?, perhaps the 'sold out' argument stands up here, but surely not when there will be no more stock.

Yes apparently they do and it's one reason that I refuse to shop at Toscocks! They often place ads the the daily press for say half price champagne but when you visit the store, they know nothing about it. Complaining to them will get you no where, as they are only interested in making profits, not customer satisfaction.

My local store took down the banners and stuff when they sold out the day I posted this thread.
  • was it definitely a 'techwood' the reason i ask is that techwood is a generic own brand type of thing for dsg (dixons/currys) whereas technika is tesco's own version, if it is a techwood it would explain it being so cheap

none in my local stores all week :(
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I visited my MIL at the weekend, and she'd bought one. I was amazed that with her old arial she got a perfect picture and I've got to say I was very impressed.

Don't complain to Tescos. Complain to Trading Standards.
  • Managed to finally get my cheap free view box from a small tesco in lochee, dundee - previously tried the Extra store, online and another standard store with no luck. Spotted staff purchasing theirs. Really great bargain. Mine works with the small ariel that is attacheed tothe tv. Bought it for my 6 year olds bedroom!!

They have been fined many times but the pathetic fines are nothing to such a large company who choose to flout the rules!
