Weds 6th Jan - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

Good morning everyone
Another night of too little sleep - 5 hours was all I managed. I always find this time of year quite tough, but the fact that dh is ill, work is busy and it hasn't stopped raining for 3 days is making it really tough today.
Still, keeping busy means the day goes quicker. Here's my list for today.Check banking
PAD
Aim for NSD
All meals from stores
Find time for exercise
Find time for crochet
Pay at least 3 compliments (I'm trying to counteract my negativity)
Full day of teaching
Meeting after work
Mark a set of books (very unlikely)
Read Martin's email
Ring the hospital to complain
Get DH to do something (polite nagging)
Load of washing (may have to resort to tumble drier due to weather)
That will do. As you can see I'm still trying to balance my own stuff with other stuff going on but I have a feeling this is not sustainable even short term - never mind long term. I will need to carefully think about what will have to give...Not giving up

Morning all
Todays list
Move bank account (hopefully).
Ironing.
A bit of housework (I do some everyday to keep me occupied).
Tidy roof terrace (it's looking windswept & battered).
Online surveys
Use Boots vouchers / points to buy an item we've run out of.
Sadly today will be a spend day as Wednesday is counselling day.
Will have a wonder around the second hand shops here as I am looking for a bread maker!! Not sure I can get something like that from there but remain hopeful.
Slow cooker meal tonight (Moroccan Tagine) All our meals are from our weekly food shop at Aldi so thankfully we don't have to spend any extra during the week on food.
And last but by no means least keep smiling
Have lovely day everyone. Stay safe.:DMoney scares me.
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
Afternoon all!
Mrs SPL was wielding her cleaver again yesterday, so fresh steamed baozi for lunch - yummy
Today so far:Still not done with the accounts - I hadn't realise I'd let them slip so long
The boss is back, and he brought chocolate!
Loads of language homework to do
Snow
Got an updated meter reading out of the lodger - he's been quite thrifty, it seems, so we're £260 in credit to the utility co, rather than £30.
Forgot to bring the receipt for #2 son's nursery, for the expenses
It's Wednesday - half-way, folks!0 -

First day back at work today!
We were a bit optimistic in thinking we could pay off £1090 this month off the credit cards. Instead it's going to be £970. That's still a big chunk paid off, but I feel a bit down about that. But it's still money paid off the cards and onwards and upwards...
Having a packed lunch as usual today.October 2015 = -13242.16 DFD 28/10/2016 £0 :T0
