Because I want the item asap. That doesn't happen when shipping from China. Plus, as above, if it doesn't work I won't just shrug and say ah well. I need the item and if it doesn't work it's going back for a refund! I don't care how cheap it is.

If it's originally from China, fine, but I don't want to buy it direct from a Chinese seller.

I'd rather avoid electricals from China, especially those that plug in, and buy ones that are to our safety standards and with no doubt over currents. I find what I want cheap anyway and things arrive quicker.

You said the seller had a UK address and delivery will probably be from the UK. Plenty of Chinese sellers ship within the UK.

If your worried about where it was made or the quality then you need to buy it from a local big name store.

All those UK sellers on ebay will have ordered a crate load from China, quadrupled the price add on some postage and still send out cheap tat but at a price tomake you think its better.

You may even get one that spends an extra 5p to get a box to put it in.

Sound card audio adapter. I need a very cheap one though.
I got one under £1 from a major UK retailer through a third party site so I'm good now on the sound card adapter :) So half an issue solved for me lol.

I was happy to find one myself, only said what it was because of being asked, and then I did find one. I got it cheaper than any Chinese seller is selling it for too on ebay or Amazon lol.

Nice that people wanted to help though :) I may well have driven everyone mad though with regards to price as when I said very cheap I meant it. For example, there is one on Tesco Direct (third party UK seller) at £8.81. Under £10, technically cheap, but no way I'd have paid that much for it lol.

I know. Ebay show where they're based though. The Amazon ones almost all give the address as China/Hong Kong (some have no address) and delivery sction states 7-23 days.

Many are using Amazons fulfilled by Amazon, but if you look at their page it still shows China/HK.
If your worried about where it was made or the quality then you need to buy it from a local big name store.

Which is what I was trying to find and did in the end, although not for that reason as such.

I know. Being in the UK means faster shipping though. Technically anything sold within this country should be up to our safety standards so they should have checked the item to be sure.

Still, I don't pay more than I would from a Chinese seller anyway, it's in the UK so faster shipping and if there's any problems it's far easier to resolve. I spend a little bit more time searching, but it's worth it. I can't see any reason I'd want to buy from China instead.

If you searched for it in ebay, them exact words, it would come up. It's a USB adapter. It's a tiny little box with holes in for two 3.5mm jacks and they tend to have buttons on (volume).

Did you read a word I put though? I feel like you're being insulting saying "sometimes its like extracting teeth". Why an Earth would I link you to an item to find it for me when I've already bought one???

I know exactly what you asked before, but as I said I got one so there was no point in linking anyone to it. I then gave a second explanation on it all too.

you were asked to explain in post No 4 , why leave it until post 29 to add a link, those are £6.42 inc first class postage from a UK supplier with a 12 mth warranty

as you have now got one , you will not require any further info now

I bought one for less than £1! I bought it yesterday, told you all about it.

I did not require that info in the first place, that wasn't what the thread was about.
