    Hi,

Can I rejoin you please? I was here for a few months in 2014 but fell off the fly lady band wagon and needed the 'new year, new start' mentality to get me back on.

    Thanks for the list Natty

I'm in for this week! I've been MIA for quite some time having had a baby in August and moved house in November. Now that the Christmas decorations are down I am keen to keep on top of things for the remainder of my maternity leave. I feel I have no excuse to at least do level 1 each day while I am still off and now that my baby is up a bit and therefore a little easier to look after. Proud to say the kitchen and dining room aren't looking too shabby after today's flying. Looking forward to completing tomorrow's tasks!

Wow lots going on, I have skimmed through. Didnt see a post from LW, hope she is just exhausted and resting from all that emotion earlier.

Paid stuff done (very busy), kitchen and utility surfaces wiped, read Macbeth with DS1, made lasagne, more Macbeth, fridge emptied, contents sorted and fridge cleaned, more Macbeth, 30 minute fitness DVD (no class as instructor ill), quick shower. Now I am going to drag DS1 off the Playstation. We will finish Macbeth tonight if it kills me. Why did I not make him do this earlier in the holidays?

Oh and welcome newbies. Sorry my head is a bit befuddled from all this classic literature so I wont say hi individually. Stick with it, this flylady stuff really works!

    .....just.... AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
Mr LW's work have thrown a spanner in it - they now say he can't be spared on Friday to take me to the PIP interrogation. So he's had to ring the PIP people and grovel to change the appointment (you can do this, but only ONCE btw). So now it will be on Tuesday 19th January, giving me another 11 days to fret about it. Mr LW has also booked 19th as Annual Leave, so his work can't pull the same stunt again. Clearly the fact that this is making me ill isn't important.:(

Boiler has been serviced; luckily it was the boss-man himself who came to do it. Downside is that we need a new radiator in the kitchen; he showed me the state of the Magni-clean thingy, which pulls out any metal crud from the system, and we concluded the kitchen rad was the source of the problem.

Flying has been pretty much confined to poo-picking the garden.
*Note to self: Must do better!

Ok who jinxed the boiler...lol For those that have me on FB will know the long and tedious saga..and that's just for the day..lol

In short we had no electrics, just lights, at 4.30am Dave came and told me that something must have blown because he couldn't do something.. What I was supposed to do I have no idea..lol Anyway sorted out the rcb switch..only for the damn thing to trip again!! So after boiling some water on the cooker, and having a nice cup of tea Dave rang Homeserve to come out and look at it. We laid it on a bit thick, although it was true sort of as I am getting over pneumonia and don't want to be set back..and Dave did have heart surgery - just not recently, it was just over 8 months ago.. :p

Man came out, couldn't find the problem, put the trip switch back - left. I got all excited as I had electric but the damn things went again.. Anyway after some powers of deduction it was the boiler that was causing all the problems. Typical - no heat and hot water!! Got British Gas out, man came - scratched his head and took the boiler apart, checked parts etc.. Couldn't find what was causing it.. Rang his boss, who rang his boss.. Anyway after about 2 hours or so it has now transpired that we are going to now have a new pump and a new control panel.. But not till tomorrow afternoon... :(

Did manage to do a lot of housework etc..while waiting for repair men.. And now Banji has been let loose the place looks like a toddler has gone through like a whirlwind..lol I have all my electric back on, just the boiler is turned off. I am desperately keeping my fingers crossed that they can fix it tomorrow.. But thankfully Dave has said he will take tomorrow off and work from home, so that he can talk to the repair man and see what he has to say etc... Also he noticed that I was jittery when he came home so bless him, he did pick up on the fact I wasn't happy about strangers coming to the house unplanned - let alone two in one day..

I am now wrapped up in a warm cardigan, a warm fleecy blanket over me and the dog snuggled up. I might go to bed early so I can snuggle down under the duvet and keep warm. :D Today has taken it out of me, and I didn't realise how wound up I was until I settled down to watch t.v. I just burst into tears when Dave said he would take tomorrow off....

Just watching Ant and Dec meet the Prince, then shall have a warm horlicks :D
