  • Hello
I would like to join in please. I last posted in Feb 14 so am a bit rusty. Site looks very different. Have been lurking mostly on the Konmarie thread.
Was made redundant in June and several changes have taken place in my life. Thought I would be ok at home but am not. Find it very hard to get motivated, mostly sit on sofa playing solitare. Xmas was a nightmare in terms of housework so could invite guests in. Having reached an acceptable (to me) state I do not want to slip back so will try and do a little every day. Have trouble leaving the house, so need to get over this. OK if I'm with someone just can't seem to do it on my own. Should have gone to library today but too late now. Will do it tomorrow. Have joined in HHC just now and have done one lot of dishes that are now draining another lot in soak. Run the hoover through hall kitchen and dining room. WM emptied and haven't enough to put another full load through today so will leave that till tomorrow too. Have a mass of handwashing to do. NO TD or DW here. So envious of those who have them. Will finish coffee then back to kitchen so I can cross off the worktops when done.

Welcome to all the new and returning flyladies.

I'm still sorting deccys here, I've definately got too many!! A box sorted for the CS, a load of rubbish thrown out and slowly regaining the lounge as I stack them up on the landing. Still have the outdoor lights and Santa stop signs to bring in but they can wait. Want to get all these stacked up sweep through and make a start on food.
Need to text ds2 and remind him to come home as its school tomorrow and he needs an early night.

Not got a whole lot done as been out with Z most of the day shopping! She had Christmas money to burn and boy, did she burn it ....

In PJs already as we're all a bit tired. Z still has her homework to do, have a shower before bed and as for me I'm going to wipe down worktops whilst getting dinner ready and then this evening weave in the ends on my newly knitted alpaca cardigan :T:T

Welcome to more new and returning Flypeople.

Well done to everyone who's been cracking on today. Pigpen, you'd make a wonderful Chief Whip :rotfl:

On my way home, currently passing through Mrs-mp Land again. My friend and I have measured all the rooms in the new-to-them house, moved furniture in BR 2 to make room for an enormous wardrobe which is currently languishing in the garage, moved an unwanted single bed out of BR1 and put up the double bed. It doesn't sound much, but the house (which used to be her mother's) is chock full of furniture, ornaments, clothes, more ornaments, paper and even more ornaments - definitely in need of a good kondoing, but it's more than my friend can cope with atm. I hope she can make some progress before I go agAin in February.

This evening I shall have fun drawing out the room plans on squared paper :)

Hope all is peaceful again in the Wolf's lair.

See you when I get home x.

Leaning out of the window to wave to Iona, pity you didn't have time to drop in for a coffee on your way through.
Lounge and hall have been swept, huge pile of recycling to sort and bag now but deccys are all upstairs apart from the door mats that need washing before they get put away.
Ds2 will be home by 6.30 he's promised so gives him time to sort his school stuff out.

Better go and bag the recycling and put it out, will see how long it takes ds2 to notice the trees gone
