    Morning all (just!)

I'm in again this year, we moved house in Aug/Sept last year and I really need to get the last of the boxes unpacked!

Final day of hols today, so a few out n about chores to be done, but then on with the list ... and a mountain of ironing (not yet found someone local to do it, so HHI's will be mine tonight!)

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One...

    [STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE][STRIKE][/STRIKE] and mop the floors
Clear and wipe the work surfaces - in progress, recycling put out, but washing up all over the counter.
    Level Two...
    Wash the units and appliances.
Give the pan cupboard a good scrub out.. fling the plastic tubs with no lids/botttoms/broken
Wipe over window sills and shine the taps
    Level Three...
Sort paperwork, warranties, insurance docs, phone contracts etc into a file so they are easily accessible and make notes of when things need renewing!
[STRIKE]Clean table and add a clean cloth if needed[/STRIKE] Christmas cloth washed, just needs ironing.
    Dust and deweb

    Extras
    • Binbag dance
    • HHI
    • Thoroughly clean a small appliance (descale kettle/decrumb toaster for example)
    • [STRIKE]Make sure diaries/calendars are up to date with appointments!!![/STRIKE]

I was unknowingly with you for the HHC. Both bedrooms are now tidy to my daily standard, dry washing away, damp washing hung above radiators, bathroom tidied up again, stuff DD doesn't want any more moved to the donate pile (which has doubled in size as a result) or the bin as appropriate, WM on, more stuff added to my paper list...

I'm just having HH or so lunch (its a salad..it may take me a while :o:rotfl:) then I'll get on with my list. I'd love to know where today is going!!!:eek:

The sweat is absolutely pouring off me now and I'm not even half way done doing the kitchen! I don't know how you all do it :rotfl:

Next week when the kitchen comes around it will require a lot less elbow grease.. it does take about 4-6 weeks to get to the place you can blitz a room in about 30-60 minutes.. you will get there, just give it time and if you cant do more today don't do it.. many here are dealing with disabilities, illness, pregnancy, fitting in around work and children so cannot manage it all either.. that's why we have the levels so you can do as much or as little as you are able.

Stick with us.. it does make a difference!

Joining in the random HHC's that are posted helps.. knowing others are running about crazily cleaning while you are too is a boost.. especially when you come back and list what you achieved.. that is as competitive as we get! :)

Anything you do which you wouldn't have done before is an achievement and they are all praised because you are making the effort... we never fail but sometimes we just flutter.

So far all I've done kitchen-wise is start putting away a few bits of paper, hung up a new calender and swept & mopped the floor.

Have started the marathon which is my study. First task is to clear the floor of all paper, bags, folders etc which have seemed to gravitate there. I reckon I'm nearly half way through that. As I go, I'm compiling a rather daunting list of what else I need to do rather than getting side tracked by e.g. putting away bank statements then thinking "actually the bank statement file needs culling as another year has gone by".
Had a lovely hour's catchup with my brother by phone.
Taking friend to doctor's appointment for 4pm, so I'll go via the office shop to get ink cartridges that actually fit my printer. Hopefully they will take back the unopened one. If anyone has a HP printer that takes size 350XL I will gladly post it to you (black). I opened it 2 days ago, peeled off the little strip over the contacts then realised it doesn't fit my printer.

Welcome to all newbies. Don't be daunted, it does get better. I have no excuses such as disabilities, children or other excuses other than being a sloth in human form. I do work from home a lot, which means I get sidetracked by checking up to see what you are all doing.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

See you all back at 1:45pm.. today.. no hiding in a cupboard unless you get lost tidying it!!

I need to get going in the kitchen! I currently have 3 portable mobile chargers plugged into the laptop (there would be more but there's no more USB ports :rotfl:), my phone is on charge, and the window vacuum is charging in the kitchen (clears up the condensation every day wonderfully :D). Second load of washing is in the machine, first load in the drier as its damp here (and its warming up the house ;)), I've put my money in my savings tin for today, labelled all the savings tins as we have 3 identical ones, and swapped out one of DD's £10 notes she got for Christmas for 10x£1 coins so she can dip into it when she wants. I'd love to know where the other tenner has gone as I only found 2 and there should have been 3. I'm assuming she's taken it to school. If I'd borrowed it I'd have stuck an IOU in the pot.

I'm going to do an HHC in the kitchen I think starting with washing the dishes.

    Personal:
Charge chargers [STRIKE]x4[/STRIKE] 3 on, 1 to go!
Charge fb's x2 (when DD gets in)
    Get DD's fb to sync
    [STRIKE] Charge phone[/STRIKE]
    Print 2015 finance report
    Move money & update accounts
    [STRIKE] Juggle cash [/STRIKE]
Set up & organise budget properly
    Set up routine checklists
    Sort stickers (1cm square)
Mr A shop ( both coffees, milk) <-- Trying to put off until Tuesday
    Bank <-- Thursday I think
Laundry 2 down, towels, dog & cleaning to go
    Ironing
Register fr33view box warranty on website
    Print email confirmation for box.
    HGP
    Set up wireless headphones
Put books back on bookcase properly
    Book dentists
Change heads on toothbrushes (find them first!)
Shop returns & lists <--Thursday is going to be errands day I think.

    Work:
    Newsletters
    Prep books
    Check order OOS
    Pay bill
    Place order

Just having a quick break from dismantling Christmas and putting full bottles of alcohol away, I'm certain they have bred over Christmas! I've got a huge pile of deccys and boxes on the landing and the disassembled tree and it's deccys in the lounge so there are now fake needles everywhere.

Will do dhs lunch and get back onto it once he's returned to work.

I did wipe the hob down while on the phone to mum this morning so I have done something in the kitchen.
