Today I've got to put my books out to customers. I was going to do it last night but went over to where I had the books thinking "there's something I've forgotten. Have I covered all the customers? What haven't I done?" and then realised I'd forgotten to print the blooming newsletters out:o I printed them then looked at the clock and it was 9pm so I couldn't go putting them out. So I'm going to label them this morning now I'm more awake and put them out when it stops raining. I have no idea at all where yesterday went.
So while I'm sorting the books out, I'm going to get some laundry going and when I get back from putting the books out I'll crack on with the lists.I'm running errands tomorrow as it's supposed to be drier however I think I'm still going to end up getting wet.

Biscuit.. complain loudly.. the school know who the Nitty Nora's are and just do nothing.. tell them it is a safeguarding issue.. neglect of nitty child.. and they need to sort it.. and if you know who it is.. ring social services yourself.. tell them it is causing your family distress because this other family are neglecting their child resulting in yours being exposed to insects, chemical treatments, financial hardship (its not cheap) and skin reactions.. The schools in the England at least CAN call in the nit nurse.. they just choose not to.. they can do something other than send out idiot letters and texts.

Absolutely foul weather this morning, got the boys to wear wellies and put their shoes and bags in big bag so they could change when we got to school (even though we live almost next door to it!), part of the playground is under water as the drains can't cope as usual and the amount of kids who have had to take shoes, socks, trousers and skirts off is unbelievable most of them will be wearing PE kit all day. Didn't anyone consider they might get wet on the way to school, it's been hissing it down here since early hours with no sign of letting up yet, madness.
Has made me further appreciate how lucky we have been in comparison to the amount of rain other parts of the land have had.
OK, kitchen and bathroom are sorted as much as need be for today. Need to finish shopping list and make a start on the ironing will see how we go from there.
Hugs, sticks and spoons to anyone in need.

Blue sky now - though when I walked Whiz it was very grey and windy. Hope it stays nice for our Agility lesson at 1!
Feeling a bit bleugh today; thinking I've got PMT as AF due any day now. One of my best friends told me this morning that she's going to be moving back to Scotland and I'll miss her; we've had some lovely walks and chats with our dogs and she's lovely company - done a lot to help me get back on my feel again after my MH issues. I know people come and go in our lives, it's just a surprise that's all.
Took J's uncle to GP for blood test and it took for ever. Just finished a cup of coffee and some cashew butter on toast and know I really should be getting going but Whiz is snuggled up by me and I'm wearing my lovely alpaca cardi I just finished knitting and I'm all cosy. Bad excuse isn't it! I know the bathrooms need doing (especially the ones the kids use) but I'd much rather go to sleep! Just feeling flat, tired and a bit fed up really.
I'm going to give myself 5 more minutes then going to heave my backside up off the sofa and do some cleaning I think. Sorry for whingingFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Still wet here with lots of wind as well. Looking at the rain radar app its going to be like that for a while, so I have 2 choices:
(1) go out in the rain and get wet putting books out (not to mention dropping wet books through peoples doors when the postman has just been)
(2) wait until the rain goes off around 1.30 and go then accepting that I'll miss the dinner ladies at the school today
I'm cold again, I have a stinking headache/cold and I'm hungry so I'm opting for option 2. I'll have to bring the rubbish bin around to the yard as well. Nextdoor must had put their bin on the window sill of their bedroom with the window open and now their kitchen roof, yard and my yard has all sorts of tissues, cotton buds and I don't know what else all over it.:mad: The same neighbours filled both wheelie bins with rubbish and then stacked more bags & broken things next to the bin blocking the downspout on the front of our house. They seem to have this thing with rubbish and being unable to deal with it. I'm hoping once they've been here a little longer they'll get better with it. Meanwhile the male of the house neighbour on the other side smokes and keep chucking his butts over their wall into the alleyway between our houses, only they're also landing in my yard. Can I have the hoarder and cannabis farm back instead? At least then the rubbish stayed on their own property
I'm going to make some lunch, put a wash load on, put a film on to watch while I eat and then put the books away on the bookcase. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hi everyone. Back from dentist
have a temporary crown but the whole thing has to come out in 3 weeks
I need to decide between a bridge, denture or implant or just a gap and I have no idea where to begin... Bleurgh.
Ah well. Just made a cuppa and about to sort floordrobe then I'm going to sit and do my nails. Also have a crust-less quiche gone in the oven in case I feel like eating later.
Got a few groceries earlier, inc pack-up for DS and treated myself to some new socks:o
Feeling a bit 'meh' now. S'pose I'll read all these dental leaflets...Bossymoo

The sun is shining and we have blue sky here after a heavy downpour this morning.
We managed to sleep until 8.00, but that meant that we didn't get breakfast until 9.30 because DH has his little routines
I have tidied everything that needed tidying (eg the cushions that DH sat on last night and didn't plump up before he went to bed ), dusted all round downstairs and watered all the pot plants. I now have four lovely amaryllis on the window sills in the kitchen and DR
DH went to the tip and CS *fling* and has hoovered quickly through the LR, DR, hall and kitchen.
I also emptied the "to do" box on my desk, flung some now OOD papers and filed a lot more. The study is suddenly beginning to look tidy. If I could just get rid of this crate full of family history papers.... Perhaps I'll be able to start doing that next week, but I keep forgetting that the ceiling of the ensuite needs repainting after the leak we had last year in the bathroom, and that is really more urgent.
I have started writing the course and it is flowing well. Just about to do another hour now that we've had lunch and DH has gone out to the U3A monthly meeting, which includes a visiting speaker talk about pub signs0 -

Bossy - I had one out in September 2013 and left it as a gap (I only know that as I have the super strong painkillers I got the day before from A&E to take to the pharmacy as they expire this month!). Once it healed up it hasn't caused me any bother except when things occasionally get wedged in there, like a peanut the other day.
However the idea of a bridge or implant makes me feel ill so I'm happy with my choice.
Throws are back on the sofas, lunch has been eaten, and after an hour sat on the floor (waiting for the washing machine to finish which took a lot longer than the 40 minutes it was supposed to) I finally have all of the books back on bookcases after juggling them like mad. We have 3 half-width but tall bookcases from Ar90s and 5 of the 18 sections are 2 rows of books deep and another has a row of books then the shredder in front. So that makes it the equivalent of 23 shelves and they're nearly all DD's, I think I have about 6 (7 at a push) shelves worth and one of those is reference books to do with cleaning/frugal living/dog!!
Time for me to go and put books out. They need to go out today as I had planned on putting them out Monday gone:o
