And here are the first special cat cards for Cats Protection. They have pictures of Star, the cat we adopted from them a few weeks ago. In one picture you can see clearly that she is missing a leg. Love her to bits!

So i have managed to complete a Dori notebook.

Decorating the next one finished 6 rolls of washi tape.

I've also completed a couple of other bits adding up to 12.

So my new total has gone up. 209 / 500. I may not get to my total but it'd the right direction.

I will be setting off sloe gin today with some of last years sloes. My partner will be setting off some black current vodka and red current gin. I have also got a sack full of apples and a very small amount of blackberries. I will be busy in the kitchen - and so will my fella. We have bought down sugar and mint for Apple and Mint jelly. As well as the sloe gin. So have kind of fallen off the waggon - but to use up stash. I'm hoping to free up a section of the freezer.

Hope you're all busy with the good stuff.

I had started sewing my chambray skirt. Managed to get as far as gathering the panels. I will struggle to finish it off as my machine has semi died. It's skipping stiches - so will need the timing sorting out. £66.50. Been to the man. I can't find anyone else local - I done want to travel too at or petrol and parking will soon be adding up. The machine is a basic one that would now only cost about £99 new online. Was originally about £120.

I'm feeling stuck as I don't want to think I live in a disposable society - but a small amount more and I could get a two year gaurentee and could upgrade the machine a little for not a lot more. Aaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh. Crafting fail.

I have however managed to whip up two cat toys with some stash wool. He has happily carted one off upstairs to block the glove tomorrow when I go under the beds I'm sure. And the other attached to a hanger - I'm just so gosh drab posh - entertained me for ages as he danced about for it.

    211 / 500.

Still not managed to set off the sloe gin. The gin has been added tot rh sterol demijohn. Just keep forgetting to defrost the slows and add sugar. Like that's hard. Haha.

Oh nimbo, I know where you're coming from re machine. I had my mother's from the 60s for many years (did straight stitch and zig zag). I got it serviced regularly (not that cheap) but it took the hump one last time about 10 years ago and I bit the bullet, bought a new one and donated the old one to a local craft group who did get it fixed. Of course, since I retired I've upgraded again and my daughter got the old new one, so I don't feel as if I'm contributing to a disposable culture.

Not done any stashbusting for a bit - but I do have Plans. We'll see when I get round to it.

I made this fat cat mat for my newly adopted moggie. I made a mess of the binding - I should stick to tried and tested methods. I'm sure Star won't mind. I used up fabrics, ribbons, thread and wadding. Not making any impression on fabric stash either!

  • Love the cards and everyone's descriptions of their makes

    I'm on 120 now
I converted 3 not used as wrong sized sheets into a valance sheet for our bed, and I've crocheted a blanket.

I should be making more as I've got so much stash.

I have set off 3 litres of sloe gin.

Managed to wash 8 lbs of sloes. Which have been frozen. Hoping to set off more sloe gin for Christmas. You can never have enough.

Four jars of damson jelly have been made and my fella has not got 4 bottles of damson cordial.

I have a few sack fulls of apples to use as well as some home grown corgettes from my sister in laws garden.

So 20 completed. But still unsure what to do with my sewing machine. I have the skirt still unfinished. Grrrrrrrr.

My partner has ordered more jars and will be making some pickle with the corgettes as well as something with apples in it.

I still have a mountain of stuff to do - but am happy to have a better work life balance going on at the minute. This may ch age for the worse tomorrow. But I hope not. Haha.

I'm glad people are getting on with stuff and have mostly been sticking to the idea of stash busting.

Oooooh my fella has made some rose hip syrup too. He loves it. Been going off to bed with a hot sup of it for the last two nights.

Today may not be a fun one. A case may be stepping up which might cause stress for me. But it needs to happen.

I have been home on time most of the summer holidays. And this may change.

I have plans to complete a junk journal this weekend. And to tidy my craft room as it does get a little dumped in.

Enjoy the hip honey. Sounds right up my fella's street.

So used up another three kilos of apples. Still have masses left.

I may have accidentally bid on a few craft bits on eBay. These will hopefully be used tomorrow. I think. Haha

I need to purchase some surgical spirit too - I'm not even sure if it's still sold in uk - I was originally looking for rubbing alcohol. This one purchase would allow me to use up lots of mica powders and bottles.

Tomorrow I intend to make at least one Christmas junk journal. Using up stash. Yay!!!!

So 10 to add to the total as have also set off raspberry vodka and more rhubarb vodka too.

    241 - 500

I am hoping for a productive day tomorrow.
