This is the throw I've made for dd2 it's almost finished I just want to sew a few tack stitches in each of the square joins to hold the backing in place.
I used an old throw we no longer used as backing and 96 squares cut from DDs old Tshirts that were too small or tatty for her to wear but she didnt want to bin them so I've made about 3 black bags of stuff that was lurking in the bottom of wardrobes or ottomans waiting to die in storage or never see the light of day again. I
At least now she has a warm useful conversation piece full of old memories.

Awesome what you did with the tee shirts. Alas mine usually end up as floor clothes or dusters.
No makes to report, in a down word slid with completing things plodding on but things i am working on will take time to finish as big projects. Will try to start an item i cut out last week.
Where is everyone, so quiet on here at the moment.
    Happy sewing to everyone.

Rosie, I have a craft room and it’s rarely tidy!

Hi, Elizabeth, good to see you back.

    Nice to meet you, sillyinthepast.

mrs-m, I have a self-imposed ban on visiting pinterest – but it’s hard! I love that throw, btw.

Happy birthday, pixie. Enjoy your new craft stuff. I got a Hobbycraft voucher for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I hope to keep it until I NEED something!

Here is my latest stashbuster - an anniversary card for my son and daughter-in-law:

Thank you all for the birthday wishes :)

I have lost my mojo somewhat for everything including craft but I'm sure it will return in due course!

Hi everyone! Thanks for remembering me. :)

I'm delighted to say that joining this challenge did motivate me and here's a progress report:

    1) [STRIKE]Finish lilac baby cardy[/STRIKE]
    2) Finish red baby cardy - about 80% knit.
    3) Pastels baby quilt - squares all cut out.
    4) Orientals baby quilt - squares all cut.
    5) Finish 'Paradise Island' cross stitch and finish up into a cushion cover for Sir - XS about 65% done
    6) Souvenir pillow for J&G's wedding - 'design brief' received and planning begun.
    7) Start making new scatter cushion cover(s) for our cushions which are very yonderly!!!:p:p Use one of the Craftsy courses for much of the technique.
    8) A self-designed cross stitch or a freestyle/raised piece for this year's Fayre
    9) CHANGED GOAL Another baby knit to use up odds and ends of yarn (need one 50g ball of white DK) and that will clear me out of yarn stocks.
    10) Some pastel pencil tree frog sketches/studies also for the Fayre (and/or other local events)

Oh yes, I want to use some of my fabric and wadding or stuffing to make mum a sitting ring etc to help relieve and prevent pressure sores too.

So far so good. I'll try and sort out some photos soon - IF I can remember how. :p
    Elizabeth :)

I'm spending too much time looking at Pinterest and other online websites for ideas. So I have only made 9 cards so far another 91 to go.

Welcome back Elizabeth lovely to 'see' you again.

Been on pintrest this evening, but found something I will make. Ds1 caught me on the and told me off I was told I need to start making the stuff rather than just pinning it. I was looking for capes to make for role play at schoo, and found the perfect pattern so will be using some stash to make them over the weekend.

I'd never knock pintrest it is a time thief BUTthere are some fabulous ideas on there, I just seem to spend ages looking and it eats into my making time.
