Hi MMMers, may I join you?
I've been reading through the thread and so many of the things you do are similar to the attitudes in our house, although I can't profess to being as prolific with knitting needles as some of you are!
So yesterday I minimised the remains of a wardrobe - a lady came via Freegle to collect, also began to minimise some cotton yarn by starting to knit a dishcloth (I have plenty of yarn for making these but rarely remember to pick the needles up!). We made do with fried off leftover mash with our dinner - not a huge success visually but it was tasty! And I mended a sock - inspired by you folks!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Welcome madvix, certainly a case of the more the merrier in here. I find if I'm slacking I only have to read through a few posts to see what others are up to before it either motivates (or shames) me into doing some to the jobs I've been putting off.
Since joining this thread I feel like I'm finally getting my crafting stash and excess food stocks under control as I'm more inclined to do something with what I have rather than go and get something else without thinking about what's already in.SPC~12 ot 124

Hugs Jo-Jo, what a terrible thing to happen.
We had friends over yesterday, the husband is veggie so I used up all the veg lurking in the fridge, I roasted it all with some oil and a sprinkle of jerk spice, it was yummy.
I minimised a rug by giving it to DD, she has bare boards in her house, as soon as she put it on the floor both the dogs lay on it.Chin up, Titus out.0 -

JoJo, hope you are all ok. What a horrible thing to happen while you are trying to make things better for you and your family. It's good that the police are helping you and seem to understand the situation. Big hugs.
Siebre, enjoy your day out, and good that the boss has realised how much you need help.
 madvix hope you enjoy joining in.
No mending, but making little flowers for a spring wreath to put in the kitchen.
Making do with the veggies that are going soft, and making broth this afternoon.
Minimizing my wool stash, oh, and the mess on the bathroom floor.:o

A friend called this morning and has left my house much clearer. :j
She minimised - loads of old cardboard to the tip plus one (large) box of unwanted handbags - can't work out why I would accumulate 32 handbags when I use just the same 3 - and another box of scarves (same problem) to the charity shop for me. Plus 3 pairs of almost new sandals (of the same style) that she will attempt to sell on the Bay of E..
Two pairs of trousers mended.
And made do with bottom of fridge veg for yummy soup.
So I'm feeling pleased with myself. :TUse it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
Determined to minimise a bit more food if I can as I am having a spring break in two weeks time.
One of my neighbours 'donated' to me two packets of vacuum packed beetroots.
I still have in the fridge a large celery, a broccoli head ,half a white cabbage, some worn-out carrots four tomatoes, a decent sized lettuce and a whole cucumber so it looks like salads and soup for the next two weeks
Good job I have bits to go with them in the freezer I also have a couple of sweet potatoes and some red onions in the veg rack any ideas would be gratefully receivedI hate the thought of not using stuff up.
Only went twice food shopping this month, and yet I still have a good bit in. I think its because I had an infection in my gum and have been a bit off food as my choppers were a bit sensitive Had a root canal filling this morning so hopefully I will be eating a bit more. The celery I think will become soup on Saturday.
So lots of making do with the food stuff I think.
Did minimise some Dobbies hot drinks vouchers for my DGS after school today as they have to be used up by the 8th April so they had hot chocolate and I had a skinny latte
Mending wise I have finished another charity blanket this afternoon.Plenty of wool in my stash so will be starting another one later
Onwards and upwards chums

Hello to all our fellow MMMer's
Minimised and Make do - some of my Sainsbobs points on their double up the microwave decided to hit the dust on Tuesday night. Also doubled up some points for clothes which were also half price pjs for DD and some next age clothes for DGS.
Mending I'm still knitting and sewing up the items I've made over the last few weeks.
Tomorrow will be the last evening of food that I prepared on Monday. So the SC will be going on with braising steak, onion, carrots, and butternut squash it's a kilo of meat and a kilo of veg which will be divided by 4 and each one of those will make 4 portions. So I'll have beef bourguignon again in e freezer. I love batch cooking and cooking from scratch.
Hugs to all those who need one and JoJo we was burgled in 2014 it's horrid our burglar's got caught about 2 weeks after its was a gang of 4 and went to prison for 10years they were the ones who broke in to steal car keys and DS has a high performance car they were after, but we were lucky he takes the keys to bed. xWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0 -
Morning all
Minimised 3 more packs of flower seeds round my mils yesterday afternoon plus pulled a load of weeds for her.
Made a lasagne using up stuff we had in. Used up a tin of Tom soup as the sauce as we seem to have an excess of that.
Plan today is to write out some cards that need posting I've missed a few birthdays so need to catch up.
Garden bin, rubbish and recycling has all been taken this morning so I can start again with that.
Have a good 1st April everyoneSPC~12 ot 124
