    Morning fellow MMMers,

Batch cooking went well yesterday, however, between it and various YS bits that are stashed in the freezer, there is now no space left. Will need to start eating down some of what's in there, to start off with I'm going to have some toasted fruit loaf for breakfast.

I start work at 11 today so this morning I'm going to minimise the ironing pile and do a few wee jobs around the flat. It looks to be a lovely day outside so it should be a nice walk to work.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

MrsCD & Lynplatinum - many thanks for the advice! I've always advocatedca tot of Brandy for a cold so need to take my own medicine lol! I didn't know cocodamol was a cough suppressant & I keep a stock so will try tonight (& make sure I get plenty of roughage ;) )
I've a busy day today as the weather forecast looks good. My boat goes back in the water next Saturday so I need to take all the cushions back on board, put the curtains back up, put the crockery away and have a good tidy ( I need to have everything pristine for when I welcome HM Monna on board)
I can then hit the other jobs that are waiting at home - the kitchen floor, make some jam, clear the greenhouse, plant the seed potatoes, etc etc.
Have a good day all xx

    Hello MMMer's
I'm busy still washing the secondhand icandy Pram/pushchair DD bought just prior to her holiday. I've had to wash some parts several times to bring it back to new like condition but I think I've got there just waiting for it all to dry. Libby the Dalmatian is enjoying her stay again with us.
I'm still knitting just started and cosy jumper for DGS in age 4 my how times flown by.
We minimised the bank balance we've had a ton of fuel come today that taken £338 out. Still awaiting a parcel to be collected by my Hermes so we're tied to the house today.
Evening meal is going to be cottage pie and cabbage and carrots with 2 portions gone into the freezer.
Hugs to those you need them x
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

I once painted a Matey bottle (bubble bath for kids, funny shaped bottle) gold and stuck fruit gums to it (it was for one of the 3 wise men to carry at playgroup nativity) said wise man had picked off and eaten all the fruit gums by the end of the play.

This reminds me of when my mum and nana made me a costume for a Silver Jubilee parade, with gold spray paint and fruit gums for jewels. The jewels stayed intact for the parade, but about 6 mths later, my cousin and I found the outfit in the cupboard and ate every single fruit gum, glue, gold paint and all!!

I feel down the last few weeks, there is too much to do, and the colleague who I shared the job with has been promoted. I am not jealous, she deserves it, I want to stay at my level, because one level up means they give you a company car in exchange for your soul (no fixed working hours, available evenings, weekend, and holidays). I have parental leave on Wednesdays, and the work is just too much for four days per week. We have tried finding someone for one day per week, but HR cannot seem to find anyone in Brussels :( Before, when it was just 'a lot' it was fine, I would just do whatever was most urgent, or whatever I fancied most; now, there is so much, I don't do anything, completely overwhelmed. Pffft, sorry about the selfpity post. Maybe it helps if I find my iron tablets again...

Forgot to add the reason for this post: my dds are at my parents' for the week, giving my dh and me three uninterrupted evenings of getting the house back into shape and doing some uninterrupted diy. Two evenings have passed, and we have done s.d all. Grrrrr! No mending, no minimising, no making-do :(

    Evening All

Lovely sunny day here, if a bit cold. DH is building some fab decking around the caravan so I can stop having a panic every time littly tries to open the door and fall 4' down breeze block steps

Make do - ran out of shower cream so using up all the hotel soap I purloined when I was working
Mend - got a big pile next to me which I will tackle before bed
Minimise - quite a few bits actually as we were burgled last night! Surely things will start to look up soon! They stole DH's bike (which I found in the woods walking the dog this morning). They took other things from the outhouse, but because we're all boxed up as we're living in the caravan I actually don't know what they took. I now need to go through all the boxes in the outhouse and in the remaining dry bit of house, then try and work out what has gone. Not entirely sure it's worth it, especially with a 15 month old keeping me busy. Horrible feeling that people are happy just to take from others, plus the thought of them rummaging through my things. Police have been very supportive

Jojo - oh no how awful. Thinking of you all.

Siebrie, don't beat yourself up about the lack of MMM, we all need down time, and somethings while it's not ideal for them to wait, it may be for a reason. Hugs from just across the channel to get you through.

I have a lovely evening planned for tomorrow at the RHS show in London, my mum will meet me after work and we will explore it together, I am hoping that it's easier for her to get around and cheaper our mum and daughter time as Hampton court flower show is pricey for the effort that we go through to get her round.

What a horrible thing to happen JoJo, hope you're all ok.

We minimised 2 big bags of stuff to the charity shop today (my husband even got rid of some books, he's a bit of a hoarder). I bought the toddler a Gruffalo jigsaw puzzle while we were there. He was very excited and wanted to do it as soon as we got home, only to find there was 1 piece missing. Argh! He wanted me to go back to the shop to find it, lol! I might try to make a replacement if I can find some suitable cardboard...
  • Hiya All

Siebrie - we all get busy times - blow the DIY - it will still be there when you have more time to do it. It sounds like you should spend time tomorrow relaxing and doing something nice with OH - even if its just a walk and a coffee out. Spoil yourself - you deserve it!!

Jojo77 - how horrid!! Some people are foul. May their actions be observed by Karma - it will all come back to them some day. In the meantime - so long as sentimental items were not taken, and you and your child are safe then just think of it that possessions can always be replaced but people cannot. Hope you find they havent taken anything that truely matters to you.

Today - Make do - eating up fridge as Im going away for a few days! So rice + Linda Mc! veggie sausages with the last of the roasted sweet potato for tea Yum Yum Yum!
    Mend - nowt
Minimise - too many of the choccy cup cakes (well they might go off while I'm away........ ) :rotfl:

Am off for a 4 day trip to Germany with my Beer friends 2(8 seater coach) - I really need the break as paprwork for house move has been driving me up the wall + working + trying to declutter! ITs great I just get on the coach and let everyone else organise!! :D

Read you when I get back!
    Nite all - take care

    Morning all
So sorry to hear what happened jojo some people are just scummy! Hope karma pays them back for you. Glad you are all safe.

Minimised dead daff heads, more weeds and scattered more seeds yesterday, did a couple of rows of knitting and read a few chapters of a book.
Food last night was using up some YS veg, I made a broc, cauli and pasta cheese bake. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.
No mending done but I have a couple of bits I need to do.
