Hi Mavvy Glad you had a lovely time at the wedding and that the outfit was a success.

I bought the Marie Kondo book and had a huge clear out a while back - I particularly liked the fact that the whole "sparks joy" test helped me slow down on buying from CS. I will re-read it. I've just joined the 2016 items in 2016 thread that GemGemmentioned so I will go with that for the time being and maybe incorporate some "Kondoing" into my practice! I need something to motivate me today - I've slowed down a bit and I don't want to...

I bought that book as a birthday treat for myself but am yet to read it! You've all inspired me to get cracking with it though. Sounds like an even better read than I first thought.

I've read a different book - but with similar messages. I have been through the wardrobe / house once and am now going back through things again. I am ready to let go of more things.

    2016 items??!!!!
    Will there be anything left??

It is not just clothes. It makes you realise how much stuff you have.
I am getting rid of a handbag that I got cheap, but have never really loved. I am now going to use a Nine West leather bag that I bought 16 years ago in Macy's, New York, in the sales. It's about time that I used and enjoy it rather than just look at it!

Yesterday bought myself a pair of white linen trousers, from Hobbs, for my holiday. £79 reduced to £55. I then used my £25 John Lewis voucher. So I paid £30.

Loving the bargain sharing that's going on .... :)

Haven't bought anything since I got back from my holiday - having a de-cluttering frenzy instead :rotfl: I have however today been given a black "Postcard from Brighton" lace skirt by a friend. It's very different to what I would normally wear but I'll give it a go & if I don't take to it I'll add it to my pile of stuff for the CS.
