    ..but if you have banked with a bank for a considerable period of time then you may have provided them with indications that you do have the ability to repay.

    Another suggestion is to ring TSB and ask them if you are showing as eligible for a CC, asking the question does not put a footprint on your CR like an application will. You will save yourself applying if it's not likely to go through.

    I think the length of time and how you maintain the accounts are an influencing factor.
    I've been with my bank for 2 years now - had my overdraft changed from unsuccessful for £100 in the early days to now having one for £3000.

    My little sister, been with the same bank for a year now has a CC with them after they offered her one.
    Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 2027
