LL Fingers cross on this bungalow
    Floss your purchases sound great.

We've also been onto home fabbing. Last weekend, me and OH painted our living room and on Saturday, we ordered new sofas, which should be delivered just in time for Xmas. The next rooms to tackle are the kitchen and our bedroom. Luckily, both rooms only need painting, so shouldn't be too time consuming or expensive.

    Hello Ladies,

I went to Karaoke and had a fantastic night out. Fun, laughter, dancing and singing. :j

I went all glam again. I wore a M & S Per Una Silver taffeta skirt with a navy blue velour halter neck top with silver embellishment with a navy and silver trim jacket with 3/4 sleeves with my navy and white trim raincoat. I wore my Navy blue patent and matt leather Van Dal sling back shoes. I removed the nail polish I had on and repainted my nails with a silver shimmer nail polish that almost perfectly matched the silver of my skirt. I wore black mascara, navy blue eye shadow and layered my perfume with body lotion and body powder. :)

I got some very nice compliments from a female friend, a male friend and a male admirer. What was surprising is that the male friend suddenly started acting as if he fancied me, so I just had to ask him what he was playing at, which stopped him in his tracks. Also my daughter who had left for her own night out and only saw my outfit when I returned home, was really lovely about my outfit and insisted on taking a photograph of me wearing it. :T

Wayne showed up about 10.30pm but I only said hello. He could not get a look in, as me and my female friend were being chatted up by 2 really nice men. They bought our drinks for the night and they made us laugh so much, it is a wonder that we both did not wake up with sore throats. ;)

Wayne kept an eye on me, the whole time he was there, but I just ignored him staring at me. On Saturday night when he had not realised I was in the pub, there he was flirting and chatting up not 1 woman, but 2 and exchanging phone numbers with them! So much for him still being in love with me and wanting us to resume our relationship. He is still a waste of space, but at least he is not my problem any more.

I am aching a bit from all of the dancing over the last 2 nights, but it was well worth it. :D

sugar you go girl. You have so much fun and happiness in your life and you certainly don't need Wayne.

ll and jacci I hope the bag inserts are useful when they arrive. My current bag is slowly falling apart (a bad purchase from TK Maxx) and the lining has ripped, but the bag covers the rip.

I was browsing on line yesterday evening and I saw a blogger wearing a nice skirt. It was very much an investment piece (AKA expensive) but I still have birthday money left over. I thought I'd just wait until I found a voucher code or it was reduced in the winter sale. A quick online search revealed a voucher code which was due to expire today, so I hot footed it to Harvey N1cs today to try it on. Luckily or unluckily, I didn't like it and it didn't fit. I definitely need to loose weight now.

    Good morning Lovely ladies.

Had to smile about the skirt Chanie. Yes I'm with you on the weight loss.

I forced myself to watch the programme about diabetes last night. BBC1 - it will be on catch up. It was both gruesome and terrifying. They pulled no punches.

That will not be my future, no more messing about. I have thrown out my last piece of chocolate. I will not be buying any more and I have eaten my last starchy carbs. I really needed that jolt.

    Enough doom and gloom ........

Lovely day here again. I spent a happy hour in the garden yesterday and will do the same again today. Got to make the last of the "Indian Summer". It surely can't last much longer.

I have been reading about the power of certain spices to reduce inflammation and help with joint and muscle pain - turmeric, black pepper, ginger, garlic etc so I have made a start on increasing them in my cooking. Worth a try and if they work then it's better than taking drugs or painkillers.

Physio this afternoon, down to once a week now so making good progress.

Slow but sure wins the race........:rotfl:

    Have a fab day.

I know it's not for everyone, LL,but I swear by Turmeric capsules when I get joint pain, or pain in my hands, which sometimes flares up.
I'm trying to wean myself off sugary stuff this week for similar reasons; I'd recorded a programme about an autopsy on an obese woman - again, very gruesome and very sad and not at all the sort of thing I'd normally watch, but I needed the reality to jolt me into taking action.
Realistically, I'm not going to succeed if I cut all carbs at once, but I'm giving up all the sweet stuff to begin with - cakes, chocs, biscuits, etc., I can't do them in moderation so they have to go.
I took myself off for an hour long walk last night, in addition to my walks with the dog earlier (can't build up any pace with him as he loves to stop and smell everything:D) - I'll do the same today.
I'm bathed and fragrant and reasonably smart so I'm off to the shops in a bit. Still sunny, so I'm still getting my money's worth from those shades
    Have a good day all.

    Good morning ladies,
Lots of lovely positive posts :)
Any news of the bungalow Twinnie? Pleased to hear the physio is working well :D

Sugar, your outfits sound lovely, I love to read about your 'outings' your energy shames me even though I do keep myself busy :rotfl:

Ells, I did not realise turmeric came in capsules, thanks for the tip.
I too have a sniffy dog and short legs :rotfl: When I get into the nearby woods I just let him of the lead so that I can get a move on.
Picked up some fresh chestnuts on todays walk.

Another beautiful day here so the summer duvets have been washed and almost dry.

For dinner I think I will pop lots of veggies in the slow cooker, I love 'pop it in and walk away cooking' :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day ladies.

Hope you have a better night tonight Carmen.
Very chilly here today so I'm wearing a favourite navy blue sweater with a floral scarf and jeans. I wore my navy boat type shoes to walk with the dog - they're quite smart, with a silver buckle on the front; think it will soon be time to get the boots out though!
Just having a coffee before a spot of decluttering.
Hope everyone is well and have a good day all.
