    Hello Ladies,
I am always trying not to wear all over black, but as I am a cleaner wearing black works for me. I try to wear a bright coloured t-shirt every working day, but there are times when wearing a black t-shirt is the easiest option. I was at work yesterday wearing my black circles on black skirt and realised that it is now too big for me. Even though it has an elasticated waist, it will not stay on my waist now. It felt like I was losing my skirt! :j

I am still seeing Wayne and although there have been a few minor disagreements between us, on the whole we are ridiculously happy with each other. Wayne is very attentive, caring, generous and has such a big heart. He is keen to meet my children, but I told him he has to be patient. My 15 year old son loves the fact that I am in a 'serious' relationship with Wayne. :)

Wayne still insists on paying for everything on all of our dates. He has agreed that when his Birthday comes around in August he will not be allowed to contribute to any of my plans for him. I bought Wayne this lovely M & S Autograph shirt for only £10.35 on eBay which is retailing for £25. I will keep on buying presents for him each week as I really want to spoil him for a change and his Birthday will be my 1st opportunity.

On our last date I wore my purple M & S Autograph velour skirt, a black sleeveless sweetheart neck top and my purple Kaliko cardigan. I wore my black patent leather Van Dal sling backs, my black long leather jacket and my black leather gloves. I wore my QVC purple and sliver heart earrings and pendant, my stainless steel diamond Ingersoll watch and my platinum on silver QVC diamonique ring. As I have lost weight this outfit looks even better than it used to on me. :)

You're doing ever so well with the weightloss sugarbaby. Sounds like you'll be able to start selling some things off on ebay soon if they don't fit. Good to hear you're still with Wayne. I suppose you'll just have to go with his generosity at the moment if that's his way. At least you've made your point so he knows it's not you taking advantage.

From the outfits you describe it seems you like black with a hit of colour. I think the problem comes when we're wearing black from head to toe to 'hide' IYSWIM. If it's a conscious choice or practical then it's not an issue. I know when I was fat I was guilty of the big cover up. Now I, at least, own some coloured tops. A friend complimented me the other evening when I was wearing my long-sleeved bright red Reiss top said the colour really suited me. I also like it because it fits perfectly and clings in all the right places.;)

Hope you're feeling a bit better ruby. Having the twins must be tiring in itself but it sounds as if the bump in the car has affected you too both physically and all the hassle.

We're away overnight on Saturday staying with family. Weather looks OK but not really warm (about 16 degrees) so I won't be in shorts and flip flops! I'm planning on taking my green chiffon blouse and the red top (above) to wear with jeans and trousers so that should cover me for smart and casual.

Just over two weeks to my holiday so I've been booking up appointments to make sure I look my best. So nails, feet, eyebrows and hair all in the diary.:) I'm also trying extra hard with the healthy eating but that's mainly to balance off the extra food and drink I'll be having. As I said before, it's not that I obsess over holidays but it's a good fabbing target to aim for.

Dry and bright here but I wish it would warm up a bit.

    Good morning lovely ladies.

Just a quickie to say I'm now back from Barcelona and feeling cold.!!!

I've looked at the forecast for Sunday's wedding ceremony and it looks a bit hit and miss......hope it warms up a bit.

Today is DS2s 30th birthday, so another party. :D

The diet starts again next week.....no point worrying now. The damage is done, same with the finances too.

So it will be fasting and no spending.......:rotfl:

Must dash, need to clean the house and start the food prep for tonight. Think we will pass on the planned BBQ, make it an indoor party instead.

Well done on the weight loss, sugarbabes. You are doing really well.

Sorry to hear about the car crash, Ruby. Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like you are well organised for your holiday, Maman. Where are you off to this time. Hopefully somewhere nice and warm.

    Hello Ladies,

Maman I remember when I only used to wear head to toe black so as to try to disappear because I was so uncomfortable in my own body. Wearing navy or brown was me being very adventurous. Now for the last 5 years I have added so much colour to my wardrobe and I even wear matching colour shoes at times as well. I hope your holiday is really relaxing and enjoyable.

Ruby sorry you were in the car crash, but so good to know none of you were injured. I hope you feel more positive soon. We all have setbacks in our personal lives, but do not let yours derail your future goals or plans for yourself and your family.

LL I hope the party goes with a bang. Likewise for the 3rd wedding. Just enjoy.

I have a bad cold or flu so I am tired, coughing a lot and feeling really drained. Wayne and I have big plans for Sunday/Monday which I have no intention of cancelling, so I am resting lots, taking medication and drinking even more water than usual.

I am also doing the 5KM Race for Life on Clapham Common tomorrow morning. This will be my 5th consecutive year of doing Race for Life. I do not like asking people to sponsor me or trying to collect the sponsorship money, but I want to do my small bit for Cancer Research UK. I only have £65 in sponsorship money pledged at the moment, but I will try to get more after the event.

Good luck with your walk sugarbaby. I do hoe you feel better for the weekend.

I joined in Fab Friday. I wore new, dark denim jeans with a fawn (not beige:p) Boden top and a spotty fawn and white scarf. I was going to wear a chambray jacket but it looked overdressed for Aldi so I put a cropped navy cardigan on instead...with my Raybans of course! Hope you're wearing your ellsbel?

maman well done for fab Friday
sugar get well soon. Good luck with the race tomorrow
    ll enjoy your busy weekend

I've had a really hectic day. I had to take my car to the garage and the mechanic said he'd do the work in time for me to pick up DS from school, so I had 4 hours to kill. By the time I got home, I'd have to leave again, so I thought I'd go to town with DD.

Whilst there, I picked up my jeans culottes, which I'd ordered online. I tried them on in store, but wasn't entirely sure if they suited me (I'm an inverted triangle, so in theory, they should have worked). I then had a brainwave idea of trying them on with heels and a different top - what a difference that made, they looked so much better.

I also bought a summer dress from L1dl for £6. It's not the kind of dress I'd wear in the UK, but perfect for my holiday.

I do hope it's all gone well. It seems like endless celebrations and why not???

When the fuss has died down I'd like to know if this is the Spanish/Venezuelan way (3 ceremonies starting with a civil one) or just the way they've managed with family in two places. I remember going to a French wedding where they started with a civil ceremony at the Mayor's Office then a parade through the village to the church for (I assume) our equivalent of a blessing. That was it for them as English family had travelled to France so they didn't have a separate celebration here. I think the civil ceremony first was essential legally but I don't know for sure whereas here a church ceremony would suffice (after banns/licence). I wish there was a nosy smiley.;)

We've just had two lovely days in Wales with my family. Weather was glorious and as well as socialising we had some time down on the coast in the seaside village where I used to live. While idly browsing I bought myself a nice summer dress. Ideal for a hot evening and can be dressed up or down and as it's one size it will be forgiving of any holiday weight gain or big meal.;)

It's a lined cotton, sort of cheesecloth and very good value for money IMO. I think it will be a favourite.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Holiday. The weather's so much better here than was forecast earlier in the week so pleased I took a short sleeved tee shirt with me.

    Enjoy tomorrow everyone.:)
  • Hope everyone enjoyed the bank holiday! How was your walk sugarbaby and did wedding no 3 go well LL?

I've lost my way a bit since the car accident, can't seem to get motivated to lose the last bit of weight, or indeed do much except sit and eat chocolate….. went out this morning to meet a friend but the weather's so awful here that I haven't taken the babies out for their usual afternoon walk (if it's raining, it's a real faff to get the double buggy and cover sorted out!). I was reading a blog about a 'Foxy by 40' challenge which I think is something I should aim for, my 40th is next April  and I'd like to be at my target weight by then. More importantly I'd like to have re-gained some energy and enthusiasm for life!! My mum has always been a 'bigger lady' since she had kids - relatively slim before - and I don't want to be an older mum AND out of shape.

Starting tomorrow, it's 13 weeks till I'm due back at work, 17 weeks till we go to Australia, and 47 weeks till my birthday. Surely that's enough time for me to feel more fab than frump?!

Having something to work towards is always a good motivator.

I wore my new culottes this weekend and they were so comfy. The problem is that I only have a couple of tops that work with them - I find that I can only wear one loose item per outfit e.g. skinny jeans and a tunic. I tend to wear a looser top as all my weight is on top, so I don't have many tops I can wear with my culottes.

I've also bought a few other bits :
Wedge sandals (a few posts ago) - they are currently 20% off, so I took them back for a refund-resell and saved £9.

Dress - I picked up a dress in Lidl for £6. It's not the type of dress I'd wear here in the UK, but will go nicely on my summer holiday. It even has pockets - I rarely use pockets, but it's a nice touch, considering it was so cheap.

Pjs - picked some up from Sainsburys for £7.50 in the 25%off. I love them and will definitely buy more when they are next on offer - I realise I'm only saving £2.50, but I only buy clothes from there when the offer is on!!!

I'm currently eyeing up the new lancome juicy shakers. They are basically an oil and pigment, which gives a nice gloss to the lips. The oil and pigment don't mix, so you have to shake the bottle, which is shaped like a mini cocktail shaker and even makes the 'ice' sound. I realise it is a novelty, but I think they be great for the summer. I've just remembered that I have some body shop lip oils, so I guess the lancome ones will have to wait a while.
