I was away this weekend so managed to use up a couple of travel sized things that were half used.
6&7. Charles Worthington sunshine protection shampoo and conditioner, both 75ml.

I popped into Tesco and they had loads of Barbara Daly make up half price as they have introduced new packaging and are selling off the stuff in old packaging. I ended up buying two lipsticks and two lip crayons which was naughty of me!

I've decided I need to make more of an effort to use up make up rather than skincare/toiletries so I'm going to join in the six by spring challenge. My items I'm aiming to finish are:

    L'Or!al perfect match pressed powder
    Chanel vitalumiere aqua foundation
MAC blusher in shade Well Dressed
    NO7 mascara
Clinique buttershine lipstick in Berry Blush
Crazy rumors lip balm amaretto scent

Hopefully I will get some of them finished soon. The foundation has been spluttering for sooooo long!
  • Welcome artypaws!

maddiemay - sorry to hear that you have been so poorly, hope you are on the mend soon!

    I have one UU today:

EOS Starwberry Sorbet: These are my HG and have plenty more in the stash. They've had quite a lot of bad press recently for making people get rashes and dry patches but I've been using them for about three years and I've never had any problems!

Ladies, a question for anyone who has suggestions - and don't worry it's not toiletries!

Any recommendations for good value reed diffuser sets and brands? I've had a couple of cheap ones, and I like them in general (sit and forget until they run out, no worries about flames etc) - but the ones I've tried so far don't have much of a 'throw' or last very long.

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest options out there, rather the best value for money - any suggestions very welcome!

Hello - I'd like to join again this year... Started well last year, but then it all tailed off, and with Christmas advent calendars and January sales shopping I have far too much... The Body Shop didn't help, when I wanted to try the Frosted Plum shower gel - it was only available in a mixed pack of 4 large bottles...

And also being recommended by my GP to use 'gentler' products on my face resulted in having to buy a whole new 'regime...'. And I'm supposed to be using gentler frangrance free stuff aswell, so it's going to take a while to make a dent in the stash...

I've only used 2 brands of diffuser: Yankee Candle and Sainsburys. The YC one lasted longer. Yankee Doodle have some on offer at £9.99 at the mo. I have just opened a Wax Lyrical one today that was reduced at our local garden centre but before Christmas.

Can I hijack your idea? Really stuck for good TV to watch cos everything I enjoy is on a break. Last TV I really enjoyed was Sons of Anarchy so looking for something gritty. TIA folks.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I liked Sons of Anarchy too and I recently binge watched both series of Peaky Blinders. I loved it so much and can't wait for series 3. Currently watching Scandal off of Sky boxsets. Its by the same woman as Greys Anatomy but set in Washington DC political scene/ the White House. Lots of cliffhangers!

Quick UU while I'm here: Twig + Dot Woodland Walk candle. WBA. Lovely scent, good throw, started to smoke a bit near the bottom but nothing drastic. Really good customer service too.

I've never found a reed diffuser yet that gives a good throw. They all smell nice for the first day and then you can never smell them again.

If you don't like candies what about a wax melter? Mum bought an electric plug in one from glade from Tesco half price last week and it smells really nice the throw is great and it's safer than a candle as no flame. And you can switch it on and off as you like. It is this one:http://www.airwick.co.uk/our-products/wax-melts/wax-melts-starter-kits/air-wick-wax-melts-starter-kit-summer-delights/ although I think it was £3.50 in store. And it smells really lovely. I've bought one too as its so good.

Eta sorry air wick not glade.

    Good evening ladies,
    Some more UU for me:

Malin and Goetz vitamin e moisturiser 10ml. I wasn't wowed by this unfortunately. Did the job ok, now moving on to a L'occitane freebie.

Novotel avacado soap (mini hotel freebie) lovely lather and scent for a freebie, and no drying. Impressed.

Natural source wild cherry and nettle shower gel. This was ok, nice enough to try.

That's all for now, on the plus side no INs!

Slightly off topic, but has anyone tried the Models Own chrome polishes? I have two that i bought a couple of weeks ago, despite my best efforts i can't seem to prevent chipping occurring after only a couple of hours.
I'm not doing anything tasking either. I'm just a bit miffed as they are lovely colours.
Does anyone have any experiences of them?

    UU

    8. L'occitane shea 5% ultra rich shower cream 75ml. Came in my Shea box christmas present from my lovely OH. Love it and WDB a full size once I've used up a good dozen more of my shower gels

    9. Lush big blue ballistic. Love it, but it's always such a nightmare clearing up the seaweed post bath!

I'm being very good. I've had my (Bobbi Brown moisturising) foundation for far too long and need to buy a new one. Had a FU shopping basket filled with Naked 3, BM foundation, mineral veil, primer and brush, applied a discount code before my laptop died pre purchase. This morning I checked BM out in person and am glad I didn't buy, my skin is a little too dry for that I think. Going to repurchase Bobbi Brown in either skin or lasting finish (any recommendations gratefully received), but I think I can eke this foundation out for another month before I'll need to purchase.

    Hope everyone's well!
