Emma is in the throes of decluttering - I nearly fainted. I have "adopted" some tubes of primer and a Tarte lip crayon that she has not used. Her "thing" is for lipstick. I was quite impressed that she has a few MAC lipsticks that are well used and have agreed to replace the first one that she fully uses. She has admitted today that she does not "need" any more make up. Yay LBM at last.

Hi everyone - Oh my, I so need to join you all. I have just had a bit of a tidy up and can't believe how much stuff I have - I stopped watching quite a lot of the beauty hours on qvc as I always seem to get suckered in and fell foul of products on auto delivery and have a stockpile. I reckon I have enough of most things to last well into next year.

I am going to do an inventory and box things together so all the cleansers are in one place, moisturisers in another etc. Does anyone know how to decipher codes to see how old stuff is as I have some Gatineau that is probably ancient.

    Hi all,
I got 22 new items for Christmas so that takes my total to 100 items.Aaarg!!!
On the plus side I went to town to buy a gift and didn't buy anything from body shop even though I wanted to and the assistants asked me ten times in as many minutes how they could help me. So that is a win for me.
Do I really need it? Probably not.:A

    Welcome artypaws

Painted my nails last night in one of my new Essie polishes-maximillan strass her. Really nice greeny/grey kind of colour. Very muted and appropriate for this time of year.

Going to go and have a nice relaxing bath after dinner, which will UU a bathbomb from Lush.

VALM-I'm in the same boat re:the L'Occitane set. I'd have to travel 30 odd miles to get to my nearest shop or place an online order, when there's nothing I need atm.

Glad I'm not alone re L'Occitane order and we are all staying strong!

Waiting to go out with friends. Have repainted my nails and am wearing OPI Black Cherry Chutney. Another colour that I love and will keep out I think.

Emma's decluttering went on to include nail colours. She was going to throw away OPI colours. It would have been so wrong not to have given them a good home!

Have a nice night y'all. We're going to a Turkish restaurant.

VALM, I know what you mean about 'adopting'!

I have 4 girls between 18-25 so quite often get their rejects. My bathroom shelves still have the results of my youngest s year long quest to find a HG skin routine. She finally settled on going completely natural, OCM,, DIY lemon and oat scrub and moisturizing with coconut oil. Her skin is now amazing! In the meantime I re-purposed lots of things (found her tea tree oil scrub far too harsh for me but great as a foot scrub).

    UU
Argan Oil hair treatment - WDBA, I think I may have found my HG hair serum, the packaging could be improved but it works as well as if not better than others I paid triple the price for, and it smells like baby powder (am I the only one who finds the smell comforting?) I still have others to use before I re - purchase however.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

  • i got 2 ins a cheap matte lip stick and a lip balm stain.
but walked through temptation and left a lot back. I looked at elizabeth arden new oil but no info on ingrediants or sample so no buying. I can't find if it contains mineral oil.
i was very impressed on the loreal expensive oil in boots, the ingrediants seem very high end. The extraordinary oil, i think it is called. but im going to use up what i have. so excited i got a new make up organizer so i can use what i have, especially in the mornings when i can't seem to find a thing
