1044. Green bin full of garden wasteShifting my energy for 20200

I am awaiting orthopaedic surgery in the new year, which will mean I can literally do nothing for two months.
I will have to live downstairs since I will be hopping.
So - a declutter was in order.
There were clothes in my wardrobes going back more than 30 years !!!
I have been decluttering for about 3 months now, I can only do a couple of hours a day because I can't stand for long.
I did another visit to the Red Cross charity shop today which brings completely full large bin bags of clothes to 14. Clothes that are too short, too big, clothes that I will never wear again because I have gone off them.
I also took another 2 bin bags full of clothes to throw out to the local council waste recycling unit and put them in the bins there - I have no idea what they do with them.
I have lots of clothes to list on ebay. To date have made about £200 after fees, which is sitting in my paypal account.
I haven't been anywhere out of my home town for three years, so, once the surgery is done and I can walk without pain, I want to go on holiday somewhere, since I think I deserve it.
To be honest I found some lovely clothes that I had completely forgotten I had. My wardrobe now houses all of my clothes that I can wear.
Starting on boots, shoes and sandals next.....0 -

I saw a documentary once on young asylum seekers who were coming up to 16 years (or was it 18yrs) old, as they were then going to be classed as adults they were awaiting ruling on whether they could stay or would be deported.
A lot of them lived in sparse flats and were trying to survive, there was this charity who went round with clothes that had been donated to help them out. I just remember the thrill on one girls face as this pair of jeans fit her perfectly.
I assume something like this is done with them for the needy. I certainly hope so, and hope they aren't just mashed up in a machine!
037 - Another pair of holey pants BINNED (really need to sort through these!)
038 - Pack of two gel handwarmers. BINNED. These were BFs, he was given them as a present a couple of years ago and has never used them. I tried one yesterday and was very disappointed. Was expecting a nice warm glow, like holding a mug of tea, but they were just 'not cold'. I was warmer putting my hands in my pockets.
BF also took the old hallway carpet to work to throw in the skip, not really clutter, as it was only pulled up wed night, and carpet fitters came yesterday to fit new carpet.
They left the off-cuts from the new carpet and my friend claimed them to cut into a mat. The scraps have been binned.

ermmm small confession - as I was packing away the stuff for the charity shop I retrieved 2 items (it was nearly 4 items!!) ... to make up for it I found 2 items in the wardrobe to replace them - at least I won't have to reduce my total now...
Makes me wonder - a) whether I would have missed those items if I'd taken them to the CS when I first discarded them b) how I could so easily discard 2 items from my wardrobe when I'd already in theory been through my stuff a couple of times...Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Hi, I've not posted since 30/9/16 as I have decided to focus on sorting out the garden this month.
