Hubby is helping too! he drilled some holes in a piece of wood and went strait through one of my favourite bath sheets he was using under the wood. Declutter one lovely bath sheet.

I was very restrained, i didnt beat him, i didnt raise my voice, he just got THE look!!

No point in keeping one odd one so that will be going to homeless shelter along with the remainder of that set.

Heyho, also got rid of more craft papers by using them to decorate some boxes.

Plus threw two big boxes out to recycling.
Must really go back and count what i have done so far.....

Well done all, keep it up.

Well have been decluttering since started with this think i will enjoy doing the numbers so here goes .Cant believe how much tat I have lying around I have started using big bags and either putting an item where it should be or straight in the boot of the car .Being unable to get shopping in once a week inspires me to either go to charity recycle point or visit family member to clutter their house instead .
1-100 items of clothing binned ,gifted to charity and family
101-104 four large cardboard boxes into recyclying

I've not counted my items for ages so I'll begin a new list for 2017. However I am still disposing of my unwanted things.

One thing I am going to do is stop buying a daily paper. It's something I have done for years, but since I came back from my holiday I have not read any of the papers I have bought. I might just get a free one from Waitrose when I go there, or if I am on a train journey, although I have plenty of books that need reading.

One of the things I decided to do this year was not buy any more handwash only to find out that the line has been discontinued. This has irked me, as I've been using the same one for ages and always bought it when on offer. I also thought I'd got enough shower gel for the year but I ended up having to buy more of that.

Well, I guess I would have run out of the hand wash eventually even if I'd had a larger stash. As it is, I still have two left so I might replace the one in the main bathroom for visitors to use, so only I use my favourite one :)

  • wow! a year has almost passed! where does the time go??
In the Summer i moved in with OH and realised just how much stuff i still had - most of which was crafting stuff.
I decided that i needed to prioritise my time better, so i whittled my 8 craft boxes down to 5 (donated a lot of it to a centre working with adults with disabilities). Then i booked a table at our local craft fair in November, so that i have a target. The last few weeks OH and myself have been busy crafting and we have a good stock already for the fair. Our craft items are all made from upcycled materials, and i cant believe i waited this long to get down and make them! Fingers crossed we get some sales on the day, but the main thing is, i have managed to declutter a lot of odds and sods i was collecting, and i have had good fun making things.

My next challenge is paperwork - how long do you guys keep paperwork for? old tenancy agreements, payslips, bank statements, credit card statements, etc?

    Thanks guys!
