The whole system is iniquitous. Undergraduates are adults and should be treated as such by the state, whether in full time education, employment or something else, not made to go cap in hand to the bloke that lives with their mum for money to study with.

Wouldn't it depend on whether the NRP of the step-child was still in the picture? If he was, then he should pay towards the cost of the child. But if I had a step child as well as my own child I would definitely not want to favour one above the other or be unfair in any way.left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

Bring up the children to commit fraud? Nice!
This whole site is geared towards taking advantage of legal loopholes to save money.
It is perfectly legal to register a child's address at the persons house which gives you the best financial assistance. It is not fraud, people aren't crooks and it's perfectly legal.
If you think it's fraud to say a kid lives with his mum and not his dad then you're basically a complete buffoon.0 -

Student maintenance loans are partially assessed on parental income, just as grants used to be.0 -

Yes it is.
Are you saying it's illegal for an 18 year old to say they live with their mum and not their dad?0 -
